I want to buy a .DE domain, but I would have to pay in American dollars. Any suggestions? They have it at register.com for $50/yr but i'm wondering if i can find it any cheaper.

It's a lot cheaper here. I can't vouch for the service though. *Read the fine print* :)

In the URL I forgot to post, but now have (see my first reply), he/she can pay in Euro
.DE Domains for 13,92 Euro / Year (16% V.A.T. incl.)
You now have the possibility of registering your .DE Domain
(Registration term is 1 year).

No, I don't live in Germany, at least not right now, I would like to someday though. My parents are from Berlin, and they moved here before iwas born. (here being America) I actually speak more German than I do English. But that's besides the point. I just always wanted a .DE name. no particular reason why, just wanted one. :p I thought you could get one if youre in the US though ~ I noticed you can on register.com, but there just a tad expensive :\
