i cant give a very accurate posting with my answer. i voted vista since it is on my main comp, other than that, i have XP Pro on my laptop, wifes computer, and work computer.
but, i sort of miss the good ol' 2000 Pro i used to run. what a stable OS (for Microsoft that is) :P
BTW, you really shouldn't put Windows ME / 2000 like that. ME is crap, and 2000 Pro was great.
You should change it to...
Windows ME (crap)
Windows 2000 Pro (awesome)
reason being is like putting Windows 98 and XP together. Totally different. 2000 is an NT based OS, ME isnt.

I use Windows XP - Home Ed, I will NOT be buying Vista ever. I'll probably use Apple/Linux if I buy anything nearly as expensive.

Access 2007 isn't compatible with it.
wxWidgets can replace Gadgets any day.
Linux comes with Gadgets like Windows has, and it's a FREE OS.

Well here goes, and no these Operating systems are not all on on PC, I have listed them in the sets of PCs there on :). I like to have them so I can keep up with any new tricks :).
IBM Dos 6.1 / IBM Dos 6.2
Windows 95 / Windows 98 / Windows 98 SE
Windows 2000 / Windows ME
Windows XP Home / Windows XP Pro / Windows XP Media Edition 05
Windows Server 2003
Windows Vista Home (more to come)
I get OS's free with my computer shop so I tend to install a lot of them, these are all on different hot-swapped hard drives, lol and yes 6 computers all currently running.
I mainly use my other PC this one, which only has my Windows Media Edition on it, as I like this version best :).
I think I have all the windows covered ;), starting to test some Linux flavors, any favorites?

There's also Windows 3.2 availible. Although my old zenith monochrome LCD Screen laptop (white, no modem, but is networkable but not via ethernet nor chains) cannot handle that one. It has a hard time with DOS 5.1

You wasted your money mate.. 3.1 has SO many bugs and is SO expensive. It'll take you ages to figure out what's where. Windows 3.1 will NEVER catch on. You're better off just going back to windows 1.0.

DOS 6.22 is a standalone DOS, you can't run it without some problems occuring in windows if I'm thinking correctly. Since Windows comes with a non-standalone DOS since Windows 2000 Home / NT.
I'd love to run Wine, but it appears that software updates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_%28software%29#Microsoft_and_Wine) cannot be obtained. Thanks Microsoft for acknowledging its existence though! :)

Actually DOS 6.22 was my main os, not win 3.11. :D I must type win in dos prompt or run with automatically with autoexec.bat . It was 13 years ago, with my 486, Hardisk 42Mb, edo ram 640kb :P .

You can't run Windows XP off of hardware, only Windows Vienna can do that without being installed on the HDD. Unless that's not what you meant. Another instance of hardware OSes is Linux and Microsoft Dashboard. The latter (Dashboard) can only be run on the XBOX360.

That's not what he meant.. (I think), he meant that he runs xp, and he has an amd chip.. pretty obvious really.
