huh? simply enable the "Awstats" option in WHM - Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings. after you have enabled the Awstats, it will take a 24 hours for the new logs to be processed before you can view the data in Awstats. You might also want to check out Server Configuration >> "Statistics Software Configuration" after installing (Top left area of the nav menu in WHM).

they might not have access to Tweak Settings if they are on a reseller host

what does this mean?

Error: Couldn't open config file "awstats.proshosting.net.conf" nor "awstats.conf" after searching in path ".,/home/proshost/tmp/awstats/,/etc/opt/awstats,/etc/awstats,/etc,/usr/local/etc/awstats": No such file or directory

- Did you use the correct URL ?
Example: http://localhost/awstats/awstats.pl?config=mysite
Example: http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=mysite
- Did you create your config file 'awstats.proshosting.net.conf' ?
If not, you can run "./../../tools/awstats_configure.pl" from command line, or create it manually.

Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).
