Can you be arrested for running away from home i am 13 and i want to run away but i dont want to goto jail.... can u goto jail for running away... Please someone answer :)

It all depends on where you are from etc..local laws would govern this..i know in my state you can be arrested for being a run away..however normally they will eventually turn you back over to your parents..I cant tell you whether or not to run away because i dont know your circumstances..all i will say is think about what you are doing before you do it :beer:

i ran away when i was 12 or 13, but that is because my mom is abusive and used to punch me and ---- like that. believe me, it doesnt solve anything. sit down with your parents and just try to talk to them, and tell them how you feel. that is the best advise i can give you.

if you run away from home, you'll be endangering the life of a minor, as you're a minor; its your parents responsability to make sure you don't run away from home, and so it starts, your parents will get in trouble, resent you even more than they do already ( all parents resent thier children a little bit ), your home life will become worse and worse, after a while ( some years probably ) you'll turn to drugs to numb the pain, you'll get a habbit that needs supporting, start breaking the law to feed your habbit, prison is the end of this route, take another ......

I'm 13 - and I wouldn't even consider running away. And if I did, then I'd come back for Lunch, Tea, and bed. Perhaps at 6PM too when Simpsons is on.

Now, that's not helping your case, but talk it over with your parents. If it's your Mum, then talk to your Dad, and you can both come up with a solution, or talk to your Mum together.

I still have to agree the Game Gear was much better than the Game Boy, it's graphics were still better than the Game Boy SP, unfortunately the DS graphics do surpass it now. See, I can stay current with you kids!

Well FWS and anyone that commented on actually running away, can be held liable for "giving the child ideas" which could result in his death etc. I know this is a community board, however us as a community hold can be charged, in rare cases.

To save FWS I think this is best.

My friend "ran away", he basically just moved out. He was old enough but had no where to go really. He's a druggie now, I only talk to him every now and than, but still... don't run away

besides, i personally believe the only reason you would announce to the FWS community that you are thinking of running aways is because you are looking for attention. but, that is the wrong way to get it. it is obvious that you wanted to be talked out of it, and that is why you would post, to see if anyone really cares about you. well, truth be told, i dont know you, so, therefore cant say i even care about you, but, i dont like to hear about children having these thought since i myself ran away. i had a pretty good reason as my mother was very abusive, and my stepfather never stepped up and stopped her from being that way. either way, it was not good that i ran away. and in your case, you dont sound abused or anything, just wanting attention. get it the right way, and go talk to your parents.
