I was also confused this morning because I was talking to a friend in Ozzy Land and she goes "What ya do for ya Mum today mate?" and I am like "WTF?" and she goes "Mother's Day ya thick s**t!" and I am like "Ummm that was 2 months ago!" and she goes "Oh ok Fair Dinkum!" :D

She is correct it is mothers day in usa today but ours in the united kingdom falls 3 weeks exactly before easter in march

me, i am not doing crap for my mom. she is a rude, hatefull, bitter, abusive woman that i cant stand to be around or even talk to anymore, so, i left her a message on myspace telling her happy mothers day. souonds mean since you dont know her, but believe me, if you did know her, you would agree that even that was to much. for my step mom, i am goig to call her, but she is going out with my dad, so, we decided to take her out for a late mothers day, and my dad for an early fathers day in a couple weeks.

Depends on what part of OZ you're in I guess.
Some parts of Australia are not hot enough and also have bad weather.

I nearly forgot it was Mothers' Day.

We rarely celebrate it, at least in my family. Maybe just some greetings and cards, but we rarely do anything special.
