Could you please tell me what the requirements of the PET system are? I can not read the official Discuz website because they have not made an English version (That I know of) yet.

Your host is right it does use allot of cpu.

12402 0/160/1014 _ 3.39 0 39 0.0 0.52 3.97 60.52.69.216 www.xxx.com GET /pet.php?index=mb HTTP/1.1
Thats the line for the basic Pet system as you can see under cpu the number is 3.39 that means 3.39% of the cpu. Yes that may not seem like alot but remeber they could be running like 40 users on this server so that makes 3.39 ALOT!

Thats the line for the basic Pet system as you can see under cpu the number is 3.39 that means 3.39% of the cpu. Yes that may not seem like alot but remeber they could be running like 40 users on this server so that makes 3.39 ALOT!

whoever hosts them will find that out. Server-intensive hosting shouldn't be cheap, it gives you headaches.

The PET plugin is the one that's lost him a host due to usage - beware hosts, another thread on this where he's asking what the apache stats meant, and he didn't supply details of the plugin on that thread either.
