On my 1280x1024 screen res. the images split apart on the top menu... You might wanna fix that.

I prefer the first one it's much cleaner and loads faster. Maybe tie the two designs together?. Also use a different font.

The main problems I have with the first is that is too dull.
Maby you sould try and make the background white. And the logo at the top is too big and all by it self. I need more.

The only prob. I have with the second one is the load times. The images really make the site look nice. So I am not sure where you can cut the load time down from.

There's a difference ?

I would use a rollover for the menu... with those kind of images you just expect a rollover...
