Actually it's pretty stable. FreeBSD is a very good os for webhosting (no it ain't linux!) and it works just as good with cpanel as any other linux distro.

yeah, I know it isnt linux, Its much more stabler for psybnc and eggdrop etc I used to use it with directadmin only this time Im planning on going with cpanel,
What version for freebsd would be best for this 6.2 or 5.4?

I am not very familiar with BSD myself but as far as OS choice goes they are only as good as the person running it. Choose what you or your admins are most comfortable with.

Windows is a disaster in the wrong hands, so is CentOS, BSD, etc. but in the right hands they are all rock solid

What company do you want to order this server from?

Stop trying to sell in every forum :tired2:

internalx is asking for views, FreeBSD is rock solid, I always found it a bit of a bind (no pun intended :classic2: ) to setup on new hardware (as in new to me), cPanel seems to work fine on it but for better views why not ask the same question over at cPanel forums, your bound to get a wider range of usefull views :classic2:
