Request for FTP host that can Host anime!

Hi, Im from http://www.dyn-anime.com --> this is my fansub website..

I'm going to request for a host that can host both license and unlicensed anime... Best if there is no restriction (even porn ;)) )

Here is my minimum:

Disk: at least 50GB
Band: At least more than 700GB/month
FTP that can access by as many people as possible: around more than 20 is enough

Since this is a FTP host. I want a host that can divide permission between each user, there also anonymous FTP access.

In Case you cannot give any FTP host. I request for a host (PHP) that have good permission system.

Host must be around 80$ -> 140$ per year.

For what you require, I think you are looking at more of $80-$140 per month rather than per year.

The oversellers will not be able to support your site, it will be terminated in an instant, therefore you need reliable hosting.

juz FTP, FTP don't count bandwidth isn't it ;)) as far as i know, when ever i use FTP, they don't count bandwidth...

Sorry to disapoint you. But FTP does count on bandwidth.

If data is being uploaded/download from your account, it's counted as bandwidth.

Sound like your looking for a FTP Dump, you may want to look into a dedi box for this..your bandwidth does count from FTP side as well...check out the dedi box offers section and see what you can get your hands on..

It doesn't matter whether you find a FTP host or a cPanel host. The point is, you are requesting too much space and bandwidth to find a reliable host at the budget you posted. You're going to need a dedicated server.

Hosts such as Dreamhost and servage are oversellers. They say they offer that much but have many limits. It's all in their TOS so once you start using too much space, bandwidth or resources, they immediately suspend or terminate your account. The only way to guarantee your account is safe is to find hosting with a reliable host, which means you'll have to raise your budget.

They are the oversellers that I was talking about.

You see, what it is, bandwidth and space costs money, and hosts such as servage and dreamhost oversell what they have. I bet a single of servage's servers can only support 500GB diskspace, but I bet they pack at least 20-40 accounts onto that server.

The reason your account will be terminate by servage or dreamhost, is because they do not like people using what the offer (They oversell, if you use all that diskspace or bandwidth, they lose money) therefore they make up reasons like CPU overusage, or illegal files.

THAT is the reason you need a dedicated server, if you go with a host like servage or dreamhost, you will be suspended/terminated without warning.

I can't offer you anything, as hosting licensed anime is illegal in the USA.

But offers for $120/year should be in the range of 5-15GB Diskspace and 50-150GB bandwidth

Conclusion:
- You're aksing for something nobody here can (or should) offer, because you want to host illegal files
- You're asking way too much for a small budget
- Even if you get such an offer, you might want to consider the fact that they are overselling and might kick you off their server if you start using too much
- Even if you pay more to get hosted on a quality server, you should still check the TOS of the data center in which the server is located to see if they allow unlicensed material (which most likely will not be the case)

I think colo would be a better option for you.

Most offshore hosts do, but the price is higher, so for your $120/month, at an offshore host your looking at 5GB-50GB (diskspace-bandwidth) maximum.

Colo is Colocation, you buy a server outright and put it in a datacenter for sometimes a cost as low as $40/month. But you need to spend around $1,000 on the server plus shipping, so it costs a fair bit.

Even colo ('colocated' server owned by you and placed in a datacenter at a rental cost on top of that for rack/power/bandwidth usage) wouldn't do. DC's have their own T&C's as to what it can be used for, and usually in most countries your usage wouldn't be allowed so unless you have a pile of cash and can afford to have a server siezed your not going to have much luck I'm afraid, sorry.
