Two of my major classes will be scheduled to be dropped, and by the graduation requirements, I won't be able to take any electives whatsoever.
----ing Bloomberg.
If you come from a prestigous school, and you slack off, the repercussions are that you don't get into a good college, or for that matter, any college. Well, with 8 periods a day, that only covers the minimum requirements for graduation... I'm screwed. :(

We havent had that problem here at Science and I've currently applied for and gotten into AP Macro, AP Stats and AP Bio. My future is fine :)

That's different...those are required courses.
My band and Japanese classes will be cut, and I won't get system programming or graphics.

My, your school offers a lot of classes-- and requires a lot to graduate, too. What's your budget been cut to?

None of the APs are required (since not everyone will get in). Those who don't take the other electives (such as forensics, astronomy, electronics, c++ etc).
I wonder why only your school seems to be suffering the cuts. All of our language/technology courses are intact. Or maybe BxScience just hasnt told us about the cuts yet. :(

We're being cut by 33% [it doesn't seem like much, but we have 3000 students and that's why the 2 period difference will make a big difference]. 10 periods will be reduced to 8, and any classes with only one section will be cut automatically, it may be changed to at least two to make a course for the school term. Massive reductions -- those courses you see will not exist next year thanks to our stupid mayor.
[lhomme], no, what I meant is that replaces a required course. That's okay. Electives, like computer and science courses, are in doom.

Hmm - we had a budget cut last year and the school (in all its wisdom) decided to wait until school reopened before it decided to announce the multiple classes were cut due to budget cuts. (Have you seen 200+ people each line up outside half a dozen programs offices?)
I'm beginning to wonder... Do you know if the cuts were just towards your school or overall?
