I don't see how that should make it to news.... For that matter why would anyone report it to the news agency.

Because it's teaching kids way too early that life is full of dream squashing, ball crushing, terribleness.

Correction. The 0.0000001% of kids that read news on internet.

Good on her, those kids will be more aware in the future, less chance of them falling for that ever again.
What would you like better?
$38 now
Or $38,000 in 20 years?

Woah woah woah.
Which bank do I give my $38 to, to make it $38000 in 20 years?

Woah woah woah.
Which bank do I give my $38 to, to make it $38000 in 20 years?
No. I mean:
Getting scammed out of $38 at a young age.
Or:
Getting scammed out of $38,000 in 20 years.
If they get scammed at a young age, the learn to question and double check everything, and that stays with you, for life (Trust me). So they are less likely to get scammed in later life (When more money would be involved)

Ah, agree with Richard and Johnson.
Me too. The mere fact that the article discribes them not trusting everyone so much anymore proves this point. Luckily they did not give up their business after that - maybe it'll be some good publicity for them! Good things often come from bad - eventually :)
