There's a huge music scene here, but most of the bands stay out in Athens (a.k.a. the Boonies) near UGA. In other words, I haven't heard many other local bands (3). All of them got started at my first high school while I was also going there, but Fox Trotsky are the only ones I somewhat like.

Another local band is Grayson Manor (http://www.bradcoxrocks.com/). I think they're okay, not really my style of music (they appeal more to the Guns N Roses crowd, as you can see from this clip of one of their concerts (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2APCRBQ-t6A)).

My favourite local bands would have to be The People's War and Hot Hot Heat.
