what is your favorite job you have ever had. if you arent old enough to work, then; 1) you are lucky. 2) list your favorite class in school then
i love my current job. i worked my butt off for 5 years to finally get a job doing web design for an actual company, and it was better than i ever imagined. i still would like to quit and work for myself full time doing web design, but, till that can financially be feasible, then i will stay here at ITtoolbox. it is great.

I worked for a fence company that had the softwall and retaining fence contracts for Martinsville Speedway.
So evey time a NASCAR (or Busch or anything really)race came to town, I had to go and spend the whole weekend at the track with all access VIP passes and get paid double time (almost $30/hour) just in case someone broke the fence during the race.
That was pretty sweet.

What I'm doing now. $25/hour working whenever I want as long as it's 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Okay, possibly when I worked for GEC and 'had' to be present to maintain the PA systems at Murryfield in Edinburgh for international rugby matches, with best seats, and some tickets for the family (sold the night before for huge amounts) that was in my much younger days though :)

I've disliked all my jobs.
Spencer Gifts was the easiest, too bad it was only seasonal (this past December). Stand around for 8 hours, make sure nobody steals anything, ring people up. Customer service = saying "Hi". It only paid $6.45 an hour, so that really sucked.

Im really liking my current job working on farms some days its hard but most days your just riding bikes around everywhere chaching live stock :D
I think what I like most is nothing is ever the same.. It only really repeats its self everyyear instead of every single day like all my other jobs iv had..
I didnt mind working in the factory when I was 18.. All I had to do was sit there 6 months later I quit becuse it was sooo boring.

I meant, a good drug dealer .....
He has to do something - you think all that programming is done by someone totally sober/unstoned
Sadly, that's true.....I'm rarely actually stoned because it's impossible for me to smoke enough in the space of twenty four hours to get actually stoned, I plough through nearly two ounces in a week and always buy at least an ounce ( lots of friends smoke pretty heavy too ) .....
not only can I not concentrate enough to program sober,
I can't hold a conversation,
concentrate on a television program,
I try to avoid going out totally sober because often I forget where I'm going and have to ring a taxi home before I waste more time,
I repeat myself a lot when I'm talking to other people,
I stutter trying to get simple words out, and, or, the, this, me, you, is, and mix them up a lot too,
I can't hold down food for more than a couple of hours,
I sweat profusely, like a heroin addict withdrawing .....
I bite my fingernails like you would not believe, my hands are a disgrace ....
I tackle all these problems with one easy solution, never stop smoking ......

Joe,
Sounds like you should SLOWLY cut back until you can preform sober.
and HOLY F an oz or 2 / wk????
DAMN if you got stopped in the US, they would get you for possession w/ intent to sell, trafficing and possession of more than one oz..... Min sentence: 15 years max: life
well my fave job is Network installation: $50 - $500 / hr. Some people like to pay hourly, $50 / hr, others like to pay per completion ($100). A network installation takes a mere 15 - 20 mins :-P.

.... hang about - i was under the impression joe's post was a joke ....
My favourite Job had to be working as a mechanic at an aston martin racing/restoring garage for 2 months.
The pay sucked, and most of the time it was boring as hell. But helping to build a classic DB 5 from chassis up and then getting to take part in race practice of the new aston N24 at weekends, that was kinda sweet.

Working in a juice factory as a forklift driver here, $29/hour and because of all the stuffups there is alot of downtime, which just involves talking to the other guys.
My job when the factory is actually working only has a little work involved, but is crucial to production. awesome

That is a good wage, in UK £14-15/hour converted from that.
Loads of folks here think £5-£7/hour is okay, £12-15 is good going, for what is thrown at anyone looking for work.

It is quite good, about double of the avg non skilled job here. The economy here where i live is ridiculous because of a resource boom, so labour type jobs are being way over paid.
Not to mention the job is easy and fun.

I work at a paper company in Scranton Pennsylvania called Dunder Mifflin. Our boss is kind of a jerk, always showboating and thinking he's so funny. On the bright side you can do pretty much whatever you want and still get paid, as long as you don't hurt his feelings.
