Yes. I thought 500kb was a fair amount for most people.
I can certainly raise it there is a good reason to.
Isn't 500k plenty for most peoples files for basic pages?
zx81 July 29th, 2007, 10:44 no 500k isn`t enough, some people including myself like to upload a cms system or whatever. then unzip it
zx81 July 29th, 2007, 10:46 do you have safe mode on or off?
register globals on or off?
list of filetypes allowed plz

I'm not sure what "register globals on or off"
File types allowed:pdf|css|jpg|gif|html|htm|php|txt|png

What do you recommend for a file size limit?
I also will need to add permissions for .zip or .rar files.
zx81 July 29th, 2007, 13:19 i would say 5-10mb
can safe mode be turned off?
register globals can affect logins, i.e unable to login in to certain admin sections of sites
FHP July 29th, 2007, 14:19 safe mode can be turned on and off for individual users.
I upped the file limit to 5 mb.
I havent had anyone complain of not being able to log in to any thing, so I must assume there is not a problem with that.
Let me know if you encounter any problems.
zx81 July 29th, 2007, 14:48 thanks
i suppose i could try it, nothing to lose
if it`s unsuitable i`ll close it :)
zx81 July 29th, 2007, 15:14 no zip support then?think you need more filetypes enabled m8
FHP July 29th, 2007, 21:03 Ill add .zip files right now.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
xtone July 30th, 2007, 12:15 php mail function is working or not and can i use DATA LIFE ENGINE SCRIPT it requires .htaccess file to be uploaded.
FHP August 3rd, 2007, 12:52 there is no mail allowed.
What is the data life engine script? I will see about allowing .htaccss files to be uploaded.
Also, I upgraded the server yesterday. It appears that we lost 6 new accounts in the transfer. Everyone else should be OK, but if anyone joined yesterday, I apologize, but your site may not have made the move.
There are not any other plans to change servers. This one should last a while.
