So fools,
when these become cheaper are you going to buy one? What kind of stuff are you going to put on it? :P
I'm thinking I'll probably wait till Christmas to buy a 1 TB drive. It'll be probably 1-200 range by then, maybe even high xx range. $80-90 if the sale is good enough.
I'll probably store a bunch of tv shows on it hehe :D

I'm looking right now and the cheapest 1TB drive I see is for 430$
320GB costs about 80-90ish right now.
I don't see a reason why there would be a 5x price drop on 1TB drives within the next 5 months.

I still prefer Flash media and Web-based storage. The real fool is anyone who stores that much data locally. :D

It'd probably be cheaper to buy 2x500GB. And if one fails it's not the end of the world.

I'm waiting for flash hard drives. I know Samsung has a 32GB Flash hard drive. I can't wait until they have a 250-300GB Flash hard drive.

Thats what I did! Definitly worth it more.
So far I currently have:
300GB Internal hard drive (Laptop)
x2 500GB External hard drives
x2 2GB SD Cards (Digital camera)
x1 8GB SD card (Digital camera, used for video footage)
Alot of memory :)

Oh stuffradio, you are quite the fool, 1TB drives will not be $80-$90 dollars, not for about 3 years. Meistro, if you can recall, 250GB hard drives used to be quite expensive, and now they have some down (within the last year) to under $100 generally. I see a 750GB one for $269 CAD right now, not going to drop much more.
