need help configuring my dedi

hello i have a dedicated server it has cpanel/WHM installed on it but i need help configuring it could anyone help me? it has been nothing but problems for me. thanks for anyone who can. also if someone could help me install cast control on it, i can't get ftp to work, nor can i get the hostname to resolve. :eek3:
