So, how many Lan Party gamerz do we have here? :p

I've personally never been to one. I suppose because none of my friends are hardcore gamers.

I know a guy who owns a computer repair shop/Internet Cafe and back in 2002/2003 we use to have lan parties at night after the store closed. It was about 15 of us and we'd play medal of honor. Then we'd order pizza from Little Caesars since it was only $5 dollars for a large pepperoni pizza.

Ahh memories..

I went to LAN parties regularily for a few years, probably 2000-2003.
Used to have an absolute blast, and made a tonne of friends.

I have fond memories of playing the very first demo release of BF1942.

Something about being in a room filled with the pizza-stained CRT-lit faces of the people responsible for keeping leetspeak alive just doesn't appeal to me :P

My local internet cafe used to do that also, they had a load of xbox's and used to sit around on dirty sofas with headsets on talking to each other through these headsets, I thought they looked pretty funny, but the activity itself didnt seem that fun .....

Yeah, a gaming place near me has "All Nighters" which I go to most of the time. There's one in two days. 10PM until 10AM, just play on the PC's, and order Pizza from the place down the road.

Hi,

I actually remember attending my first LAN party when I was about 12 or so. I used to invite friends to my house to play on my network at home (I got a new system and I kept the old). It became so addictive I branched out to larger LAN parties at least once a week, but for the past 2 years I have slowed it down a lot.

I've only been to one, and it was just a bunch of my friends (about 12 or 16) getting together and playing Halo all day, taking a two-hour pool break to swim and grill hotdogs at the apartment complex's pool and throw a football around and shoot eachother with airsoft guns, and then playing Halo all night.

It was fun, but I don't think I could go to a public LAN party. For one, I'm not that into gaming...

(I voted "Never went" and then afterwards remembered this.)

Used to play every once in a blue moon and had a blast...except that I am pretty much horrible at every game except Counter Strike and I am only "decent" at that.

I used to have a few small LAN parties here, it was fun. I might start going to the ones at the local game centre here.

I love lan parties they are the easiest thing to do when your internet is shot or u just want constant high speed or no lag due to connection limits
