You should check your DataCentres TOS. A lot of DC's don't allow IRC traffic. Those that do, ask that you tell them first.
Apart from that, you won't find an option to give out IRC in cPanel/WHM. This is because cPanel/WHM are for web hosting, not IRC hosting.
You'll need an IRCD if you're planning to give out IRC servers.

As John mentioned you will need an IRCD search around for server setups and how to install them, you can get all those details on google :)

I would highly recommend doing quite a bit of research before deciding to allow IRCd's to be installed. On top of that, you need to understand that IRC customers are typically much more savvy than web customers...And in that case, can be tougher to monitor.
Also...If you value your customers, do not allow IRCd's to be installed on your web servers. In most cases if you are going to allow full compiler access then you really don't want a control panel to be running at all.
Good luck :)

I think that was my point. Research it.
Providers that provide services which have no idea about the service is really what gives the market itself a bad name. Don't sell something that you can't support or know anything about.

There is plenty of IRCd's available, once you have found one you're comfortable with read the documentation provided by the author. Compiling and configuring an IRCd is pretty straight forward, configuration options and descriptions are all in the docs ;)
Good luck.

hmmm... i think it is hard to tell to someone. and also shared. its very strange, i dont understand you guys. This is a shared world. Someday i'll know how to do and how to host IRCD Shells. And ill let you know or ill post for those who didnt know how to do. So.. sorry for this topic. please Admin close this thread.

I'm sorry you didn't gather the information you were looking for, don. Most users whom seek IRCd shells usually possess the knowledge to compile and configure their IRCd's, but some IRCd shell providers do offer scripts that can produce a compiled IRCd, and all that's left is to edit the configuration file(s) as they want it.

Agreed. I think the misunderstanding I have is why you would sell a service that you know nothing more about than what other users on a forum told you. I would recommend buying a shell somewhere, compiling an IRCd, compiling services... Setup an eggdrop and a BNC.. Learn the ins and outs of each. Once you've done that, now go compile energymech and different IRCd's.
bahamut / ratbox / Unreal / QuakeNet / Hybrid / beware / blackened / NeoIRCd
Then... Now go compile services and make them work such as:
anope/majick/eggdrop services/ IRC Services 5x / epona / neostats
Once you have all of those compiled and you have made each actually work together... Now you know 300% more than at this point. Then I suggest reading up on why most companies don't allow IRC hosting and the issues they have had. If you are then as sure as you are now that you want it and can support it. Then good luck to you.
