I'm sorry for my ignorance but I don't understand are there any advantages of using semi-dedi instead of shared web hosting? I plan to buy it from Webhostingbuzz.com and still don't know if it's worth.
Can anybody help me?

Semi-dedicated plans generally are very fast and allow for greater resource usage in terms of CPU and MEMORY than a standard shared account because of the less amount of users per server. With Semi-Dedicated account you'll share full CPU and RAM of the server which allows flexibility to run big websites without overloading the server.

Semi-dedicated usually means that they allocate more resources as mentioned by euk-damien. They are usually less populated and the servers themselves tend to have much more power available in burst situations.

Not only Webhostingbuzz.com provides semi-dedi a lot of other companies as well. But still it's better than shared web hosting package plan in terms of CPU usage and RAM.

Hello. AI think that you shoulldn't worry about that. First of all you have to decide if you need semidedicated at all. I think that first of all you have to make desigion according that.
Webhostingbuzz do offer semi dedicated and dedicated as well: http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/website-hosting.shtml?host_dedicated-server
So I think that you will be able to move to dedicated server is something doesn't suit you with semidedicated.

Semi Dedicated allows you to raise up the usage limits for cheaper than a dedicated.

Also, you should consider moving to a smaller config as they are cheaper. Please keep in mind that if you are not familiar with Linux, you'll need a managed VPS.

There has been a similar thread about webhostingbuzz.com and the number of people on their semi-dedi plans on this forum before, you may use a search option.

As far as I understood a semi-dedi from Webhostingbuzz.com gives much more advantages than a shared web hosting. What are the other companies that provide semi-dedis?
I'd like to know if their promotion "Domain for life" is active with a semi-dedi.
