need help on a decision!

so, i finally got paid.
I want an apple, windows is not an option.
I can afford roughly one of two computers,

a 24 inch imac with a duel core 2.8ghz (hard drive is irrelevant, ram and video are the same as the laptop)

or a 15inch duel core 2.4ghz macbook pro (its £100 more though)

bearing in mind that the imac would have to go in family space and the laptop wouldn't and that I dont really use the laptop outside of the house.

Which one should I get?

I'd get the new iMac, if you're not going to move it, it looks better to have the iMac.
