Just to make an announcement:

We had 6 servers killed today due to SPAM. We fortunatley had a server security company take care of the issue, but I thought I would help all the hosts out and not have the same customer cause the same headaches.

I know we all deal with spammers, but this domain & user has really got beyond the normal logs and other security.

WATCH OUT.....

WE DO HAVE LIMITS SET ON EACH SERVER AS WELL AS AssassinDeamon
They are sending out tons of the "Nigerian" emails.

USERNAMES/domain/ip's TO WATCH OUT FOR:


195.245.108.90 [ripe.net or EU-ZZ-195] appears to be located at: AMSTERDAM, NORTH HOLLAND (province), NL

matsteen@yahoo.co.uk

coachandhorsesnorwich.co.uk

and username (tomwitt)

I hop this is against rules, I just prefer to stop this person before they cause issues for anyone else.

That's a good service to the community letting hosts know, someone should start a site devoted to this.

There are lots of such clients. I had one more:

onabled.com

Dont remember email name etc since that account was terminated about 3 months ago.

Thanks for informing, he signed up on my forums and requested a host, I currently removed it as he left it blanked.

The IP address is from Holland and the domain/email are .co.uk? Reasons enough to verify the order with a phone call: inconsistency.

I like that, lets swap the gun for a harpoon, and the face for legs ...... spammers should be shot in the legs with harpoons .....

They should arrest spammers and let them perform as human spam filters as punishment in jail. This way they clean up their own mess.

If they don't do their work well (ie: too many false positives) then you can shoot them in the legs with harpoons.
