Hi I am running: MS Windows SP2
Intel Celeron CPU 2.53 GHz 1.0 GB of RAM Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphic Controller with 2 hard drives(one at 40 gb and one at 80 gb)

I have had this computer since 2004 and its the only computer I have. The fan is louder than heck and I was wondering what could cause this? I can't upgrade the RAM or get a new graphics card since it has two pci slots and 250 watts of power. What should I do?

I wouldn't get a new one just because your fan is loud. However, you should get a new one, because computer need to be upgraded every 3 years. Just browse ebay, desktops are insanely cheap. I saw a computer with a core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 200gb hard drive and whatnot for about $300.

try to isolate where the noise is coming from, is it the PSU or the CPU fan and replace as necessary.
Although it might be a better idea to get a new PC.
