Hi everyone, i have purchased sitepal for my website. If you haven't got a clue what that is, its a virtual human that greets the customer everytime they visit your webpage.
Please check it out and tell me if that is professional or unprofessional. (i know that banner on my site is poor quality i am currently working on a new banner to fix this!

This has been around for a Long time now.

I've never liked it.

I usually have music streaming while online and to have some loud robotic voice come on trying to sell me something is just about the most annoying thing I can think of upon opening a site.

The only time I've seen it used sucessfully is on ebay for a few specific auctions.

I personally think if you wanted to do something like this then it should be you speaking and a real video. If I was looking at this then I would think the person is to afraid to show their true self. I hate to say it but people do judge on your appearance.

Eek.

Thats scary, and bad. It's doing no favors at all. And yes, I normally have music on, which causes me to close the site that the voice is coming from.

To be honest i would run a hundred miles before signing up at a host that used sitepal. and the music point is valid. I would say that sitepal is a hinderence to your business image and potential, and that you should remove it. :)

It does seem professional, but I personally would not use it because it really doesn't look very good.

Get a female operator and it will look better. Sorry, but that dude looks like he's flaming!!! ..lol

It's nice for fun sites. Take a look at futureshop.ca they have a real human video similar to sitepal

Personally I really hate it when there's sound after opening a web page, such as background music, music in a Flash intro or something like SitePal. My first reaction is to close the site instantly and never come back. It's just annoying.

I did some web work for hostparlor on a template a couple weeks ago.Uploaded it for his visual comfirmation and he quickly ripped source and images. Then He stiffed me of the money he owed me.Do not do business with hostparlor, he is a fraud and very unprofessional.

Thought he was my friend, with friends like this who needs enemies.
