click here to install these updates.

Is that little yellow icon on the bottom right of my Dell laptop's computer safe? It seems it always has something to update no matter how many times I click on it. I haven't clicked on it for a while now. Should I click it?

The program doesn't even identify itself. Just checking before I click on it again ..lol

Yup - they're just Windows Updates. They're pretty much constant.

I think there is a way that you can just make it automatically update so you don't have to worry about that.

I think there is a way that you can just make it automatically update so you don't have to worry about that.

Control Panel - Security Center, lets you set autoupdate as an option.

Best disable it in there though and once a week or so just go to Windows Update, the 'other' method can very often fall on its butt (as in your case alley) and doesn't always complete so you end up being bugged with it forever.
