Need a blog Please help

I am planing to set up a "news" blog, where I will report the happenings in and around my neighbourhood, I also expect
people to comment over the articles I publish. The blog should support Unicode fonts, and Indian languages.
Can someone guide me to the right choice?

I am completely new to the concept of blogging, so please suggest me something that is user-friendly.

Wordpress is a good blogging software in my opinion. You could try it out.

Try something like Blogger (http://www.blogger.com/), that could be handy because your a 1st time user.

If you have good free hosting, download code Bo-Blog at http://www.bo-blog.com ^.^ Version for China and English, Vietnamese.

If your host uses cPanel and has Fantastico, install one using fantastico.

so far, the best i've seen is Wordpress and B2evo.
and there is lots of skin downloadable for wordpress.

What are your goals with the blog? If you just want a simple blog, try Blogger or Livejournal.

If you want to build a website and maybe later add content, I have Fantastico that can install the scripts for you in just a few clicks.

It's all up to you - there are tons of options!
