Photoshop CS3

Im kinda new to graphics on sites and I was wondering if anyone knew how to work with layers to create my own graphics to make a web graphic that can I can insert into my webpages. Preferably with CS3 Extended

when saving the image, save it as a jpg, gif, or png. that way you can display it on the web. psd images are not able to be used as web images.

First you must design your graphics.
Second use the slice tool to make your graphics in pieces if they are too big.
Third go to File > Save for Web & Devices > Save and you will have your images in a folder called images. :)
