Is there a way to unformat a digicam SD card?

Short Answer: No
Unless you can fork out $200 for data recovery, Which may not work, Then you may be out of luck :(

Hmmm. Yah, probably. I recently un-formatted a CompactFlash card. Not sure if you can unformat a SD card though. Try CardRecovery. http://www.cardrecovery.com/?rid=google&kid=cr0102. Try the trail before buying just to check.

Theres a free one called PCRecovery or something, they have a program for flash cards, their site should be in German/English

as long as after u formated it, u din add anything into the SD card, i think it is possible to retrive ur data back.
there is a program called recover4all, u can go google about it. the chance of recovery is higher if ur SD card is in FAT format.

All SD cards are in FAT. (or FAT32)

get a copy of hirens boot cd they have a program called getdata back(fat) also have ntfs version too that works for me
