According to the article, the baby is now 3 years old, so it happened 3 years ago.

good observation, didn't think of that .... it's hard to concentrate on the content in the story without feeling violently sick ....

Dan, what do you think?
It is terrible how stuff like this can happen and then for it to take 3 years for it to go to court? Shame on them. Sick or not, she should get the Gas Chamber.
Harsh words Dan.

I think she'll get the death penalty, I don't think she'll live to see it be carried out though, there's a high chance that inmates will kill her and an even higher one she'll kill herself ... somehow though, death doesn't seem anywhere near enough .....
There's no way any team of lawyers will be able to convince normal citizens that while on a mad one she managed to perform a cesarian section with a breadknife, and convince them that she managed to read enough to educate herself to do that, there's just no way ...

Hopefully the Inmates will get to her.
I watched a movie last night, which apparently was a true story, of a guy sent to Jail on remand for apparently fondling a schoolgirl. The inmates got hold of it from one of the Guards and they slit his throat with a double razor. Later they learned that he was there as a result of mistaken identity.
The Prisoners who killed him all got Life and the Guard who leaked the story to the inmates got 60 years.

i sometimes wish that cruel and unusual punishment was legal for sick twisted people like her. give her the slowest most painful death you could ever imagine.

If she gets the death penalty, which she should. It'll most likely take 20 years before she is put to death. She'll continue to appeal her case.
Inmates on death row are kept separate from the general population, so it would be impossible for her to kill herself or for someone to kill her. I wish someone would, it would save us all the money.

Plenty of prisoners on death row die before their sentence is carried out, the prisoners still get ahold of each other, you have to remember that the state are going to pay men and women that might have children of their own to protect this woman from other inmates, it only takes one of them to have a conscience ....

It won't happen. There's a reason why death row inmates are kept separate. It's not to protect them, it's the other way around. If a death row inmate kills someone while in jail, that opens a new criminal case, thereby prolonging their death sentence due date.
CO's never go into the cell or near a death row inmate for this reason. It would only help the inmate to kill someone while on death row.

Something I didn't need to read :S
I don't think she would get the death penalty, And she doesn't deserve it either. It's too easy.
She'll plead insanity, Be put in a mental institute and that's where she will stay for the remainder of her sad life.

You're right, I assumed that death row inmates killed each other ( being animals and all ), infact I can't find one single case outside of a prison riot where that actually happened ... it seems she'll get away with it no matter what the state propose .....
