So, am thinking of buying a new laptop since my personal one is getting fairly old now. I've seen a couple that take my fancy yet I always talk myself out of it lol, one side tells me ''yup, buy it'' and another side tells me ''do you really need another''. Knowing me I will buy it and it will end up not being used, its not like I cant afford it, its simply a metal problem :devious2:.
Example would be, I bought a GPS system 1 month ago even though my rides all have built in GPS systems, am either going crazy or am simply stupid.
Do you get the same issues when buying something that you want but always manage to talk yourself out of it?.
Help :ninja:.

I've been talking myself out of a DSLR for several months.
"Yeah, buy it! It's worth the money!"
"No wai! Your pictures suck! Let someone buy it that deserves it!"
"Invest the money you dip ----!"

By the way, it's "mental problem," I doubt it's a metal problem.. :P
Haha
Just kidding
If you really don't need the laptop, save the money, and do as Ben's mind says, invest the money. I've made a few investments into medium risk mutual funds, and it's going great so far.

I've been looking at the Nikon D40. A little more in my budget than a Canon. And plus, it just got knocked down to $549 everywhere.

I got my Canon for £280 - $560. You could probably get it 500ish. With the Nikon, make sure you buy lenses with AF as the Camera doesn't have it built in. At least I don't think so ;)

Yeah, I've read that in several places. Did you buy it used? If so, I wanted to get mine new so I could get a protection plan with it. Wolf Camera's is pretty damn good. Basically, short of me strapping a bomb to the camera, I could get it replaced. And maybe even then I could.

I bought a laptop for funsies and sold it a week later. Clearly, I didn't need it.

Haha, that must have been a fun week? (By the way, couldn't you have just returned it? For free?)

Well, I got it off eBay but it was brand new/sealed. Your insurance may cover your stuff, or can you not just go find somewhere that will? :p
