China Spam!!!!

If I get one more spam email from a China server, I will be blacklisting every IP in APIC. I got 43 of the same type of spam email today. They were Penis Enlargement spam All came from, you guessed it, C H I N ----ING A. I believe in castration of spammers. I send out bulk email (OPT IN via vB) from time to time, but when I do I have at least 3 or 4 ways to opt-out. I allow users to Opt out via UserCP (in vB), email, postal mail, and sometimes phone. The mail that I hate the most is the fake bounced email. It royally pisses me off. Now that this rant is almost over... I checked my email and guess what? I have a shiny new Fake Bounced email for Penis Enlargement. It is from, you guessed it again, C H I N ----ING A!!!!!!!!!!!

The Real Question:
How do I add the entire APIC to my blacklist?

For my non-google hosted email addresses, I use boxtrapper. Works like a charm. No spam.

I use ASSP now on my servers and most spammers that send come from blacklisted HELO's so they are disconnected at source, but before that when i had spamassasin... which was poor at catching anything to be honest, i use to get about 30 megadik emails a day personally... now after that happening for a few weeks, you start to wonder.. a week after that.. you buy a ruler... and a week after that, you are hooked on the fake pills they are sending you.

Whatever you do, dont do what i did, dont ask guys at the gym to "measure up" because of the megadik spam... it gets you banned and your membership revoked people.

IPs or Domains?

I believe if they were domains, you can do them at server side: *.cn
As for IPs...I think you'll need to spend some time getting the list of IPs that are assigned to China for which I think krakjoe had a script somewhere...

I have gmail, but I have to accept domain side email for business transactions. It looks more professional to accept email at chris @ mylastname oft.net than nitro snowboarder at the one the only the goolge gmail gmail is a .com incase you didn't know.

Meh, don't worry, I don't even have the required piece of equipment to enlarge and I get tons of them too. A solid 3/4 of my about 400 spams a month (99% correctly filtered by gmail) is on that topic :ninja:

hello friend,i don't think gmail is good at preventing spam coz it no doubt filters "some of the spam" but that too remains their for 30 big days adding hundreds everyday..so if you don't check your mail everyday you can end up having all your gmail memory consumed depending upon your stored mails..gmail seems creepy to me and i never use it for my personal details and i use it only for my paid to sites..i prefer yahoo for personal use as "bulk" in yahoo is never consuming my total memory and the yahoo spam guard is fine too..you can also try hotmail as what i have heard about them is when u report a mail as spam the person's IP is banned from sending mails and you never get mail from the same person again..although i have never tried them..i have heard about spam filters on you mail client too..but agin can just tell you this much only

Considering Google offers 4GB of space now, I really doubt you'll fill up with spamz in 30 days.

Unless you're being targeted for something, but then that leaves the 'spam' label behind and becomes a DoS ...
