Halo 3

ok, well, i just played Halo 3, and beat it in just under 9 hours of total game play. I have to say, it was fun, but, sort of disappointing that it ended so quick.

anyone else beat it yet, and if so, what was your opinion on it?

I thought it sucked, although I haven't played it, so my opinion may not have much validity.

What difficulty?
I beat the game in 3 hours in co-op, on easy and no cut scenes.

i had it on the middle difficulty. and i just played over a couple days.

Anyone fancy helping me out? I got like so close to finishing Covenant mission and then my buddy /quit on me and lost all the progress. Anyone wanna Co-op legendary or heroic? :p

i would if i had live still, but, i dont feel like getting a wireless adapter right now, and my cable isnt long enough to reach my router in my new apartment. sorry bud. i will get my adapter soon, and maybe then i can.

Beat it on legendary in co-op. Took roughly about 6 or so hour. The last level is a laugh.

yeah, the last level is like the last level in the original halo. i was in heroic, and played it with my wife. although i had went home the other day for a little while and played while waiting for my new recliner to arrive, and was on the last level from where we had left off. then i erased the progress and played it again with her. :p not to hard of a game. i found the first two a little more challenging than that.

The best part of Halo 3 is Live. It's really a neccessity when getting an Xbox 360. It's like bread without its butter ;)

im not allowed to run a 15M patch cable through the house, other wise i would do live :(, do u think a normal wireless adapter would work instead of the offical one

they need to make a fourth Halo to make up for how short Halo 3 is. and it should be 3 times longer.

i have beat all three now. i like the map expansion pack for halo 2. i hope they put one out for halo 3 soon. i think they just got lazy with the actual story part of the game this time around because so many people just do the fighting against each other part instead.

yep, i did. i read that Bungie doesn't have halo 4 in work, but Microsoft will probably want one considering the $300 million it made in the first week. they sort of ended halo 3 to where there really wouldn't be a good 4th probably unless they think of something really good and new. Bungie said that Halo 4 rumors are nothing but that, rumors. so, who knows. if they do make a 4th, i hope it is better and longer. i was really disappointed in the $60 USD price and it not being that hard and so short. i have yet to play against other people in 3, so, we will see how good the maps are. i hope they make up for the short story line.

Bungie and Microsoft have officially split but you never know. It left on a result which showed another. Plus, on the legendary ending, it shows them crashing into a planet ;)

they split, but, Bungie said they are still going to work with Microsoft. they just aren't controlled by Microsoft anymore. also, i didnt see any crash at the end. it just showed them floating in space, and said to wake him if ever needed again. so, in my mind it left it open, but, Bungie said to reporters, in this article i read, that they made it to where the story pretty much ended there. i think it would be pretty easy to pick it up again though.

something else that didn't make sense was that they sowed the arbiter talking to the general, and shaking hands back on earth. if he jumped on to the ship with Master Chief and Cortana, then how the hell did he end up in the ceremony?

After when he said awake me, it cut onto the ship and a dark planet which glows and in the oncoming path of the ship. Then loud orchestra music comes up, then cuts off. Youtube will have it.

that is odd, i must have missed that part when watching it last night. :S all i saw was it go to the screen where is said it was unlocking things, and then i could start playing again.

i just watched it on youtube, and i totally did not see the part where they crash. it just shows the bright light, same as last night. i am confused.

Did you do it all on legendary? That's only that ending.

nope, on heroic. it was the same ending though.

The people mistake the bit where he gets in the pod for the legendary ending. There's just a little 30 secs on the end. It's that what I described.
