Problems uploading files

I have just created a free account on netfirms webhosting service. I like the service because having another account there, I did not have any problem with it, and the only one ad banner to netfirms was ok for me for a reliable freehost with ftp support.

But now I can not upload my files to the site. I have tried WS Ftp and Core Ftp software an got a 530 error (login error). I have double checked my username and password and they were right. I even tried filemanager on the site but got "The page can not be displayed" error.

Can anyone help regarding this problem?

What is your site URL?
It sounds to me like their FTP server or something has gone down. I could be wrong though and due to the fact I am Irish, as Decker keeps reminding me :D I am probably very wrong. ;)

If the FTP server was down, authentication would never take place for it to fail.

There really isn't much it can be, if the FTP server refuses to authenticate you, then your username and password are invalid.

You should contact your host directly.

Best check with Netfirms for this one could be for a whole load of reasons, not knowing their systems we couldn't really say for sure.
