I currently know of 3 hosts that offer Alpha Master Resellers. What providers do you know of that do this?

Note: When i say alpha, i mean that you can sell master resellers. And could any include billing software?

Desperate ones! That is a position for a VPS at the very least and those selling 'alphas' as you call them are most likely only resellers themselves, or they would be looking at other means of providing that level of account.

I hate to sound rude, but saying that they only provide it because their a reseller, dosent answer my question.

I know of a few, i wont mention names because i dont want to start a war, but i di know of a few.

Alpha Master is a new kind of technique. A normal reseller can not provide this package. Only the Dedicated Server Owner can provide this.

As far as I know there is no other Alpha Master reseller provider on earth now.

Shoutserv is closed because of the customer abuse and legal issues.

Thanks for that decker, I think you thought I ment how does a master reseller work, But I was wondering how the alpha master reseller works (The Reseller can reseller master resellers) As I have a customer who can't afford a Master Reseller license, And I thought I could give a Alpha to them as they can't afford $40. But I haven't been able to find out how to do it!

Is it on a cPanel server? If so you just give rights to allow them to sell 'reseller' packages.

So give them the right to sell reseller packages via the Reseller Center?

In WHM it's the rights to even see the reseller center :D , it's a big grey area, as they should be trusted clients (not advertised as a normal sale as some do).

Should clear that up more - it's having the rights to allow others to have the rights to sell reseller packages, so it basically goes haywire and you lose control of whatever box you allow it on.

So making an alpha master would give them root access? Because that's what i'm getting, I can also see all of my other accounts!

NO!

Definately not root, shell access yes, possibly allowed wheel group access on request (really - no), it's all 'allowing' what you want.

Honestly an 'alpha' account is really just getting on well with your host :)
