RSS Feed help

I am unsure if this is the right section but:

I an starting a fansite for the New England Patriots, and want to include stories from various sources like Patriots.com, SI.com, etc.

Now in my.yahoo.com, I have 5 stories from the NFL and MLB, that update automatically I assume. How can I have something like this show on my website?

RSS/XML feeds would be the way to go, php has some inbuilt functions to parse XML and there are lots and lots of freely available prebuilt parsers for RSS. You would need to find one that worked on all the sites you wish to aggrogate and setup a crontab to execute the aggrogation daily or 8 hourly or something suitable.

I checked dynamicdrive.com for defecation & giggles, and found one that worked for patriots.com (the only one thus far I have tried). I had to do a few steps like register for a google key, but it worked so thats all that matters.
