Any members here use ASP.NET to develop websites?
I've decided to learn that thing. Should be fun :)

We do use asp.net to develop websites as a matter of fact. But learning would most likely be easier done from a site like w3schools.com - with examples and the like.

oh, and a thousand bows O All Seeing One...

Another thing - msdn.microsoft.com is good (though slow and buggy) for references and examples. Not sure about beginners (if you are one) it may/may not be suitable.

Have you used any other scripting language - asp, vbs, js, php, etc etc?

I am starting to learn ASP.NET; I want to learn how to use the TCAdmin SDK, in conjunction with PHP to make an automated game server creator.

It seems to be harder than PHP.

We currently develop in asp.net 2.0 with VS 2005. We have downloaded 2008 -- doesn't seem much different except for the increase of speed opening projects.

Good luck with your quest to learn! If you have any questions let me know.. I have been programming with .net for over 3+ years.
