I'm just a bit interested in this, what would be the most popular, free web hosting, or a free proxy service? I know there's a lot of them both but it would be interesting to know which is the most popular.

Free hosting is more used, and has been for a much longer time IMO.

But those very last years, probably with the increased use of information technologies in schools and by everyone in general (and the increased awareness of school networks persons toward innappropriate content and how to filter it properly), free proxies have been the craze.

Or maybe I'm prejudiced but that's how many of those free proxy hosting requests and projects come through to me :D Kiddies desperate to access MySpace and other currently trendy venues during school time when their very spelling, grammar and sometime attitude amply show they could spare some attention for their classes :D

Oh - that's a bit like comparing apples to bananas.

Anyway, I'm voting for free hosting, as I'm quite sure it's used more, especially if you include services like MySpace and Facebook (which are nothing more than glorified, socially-connected personal homepage builders).

Neither of them, Porn is the most popular thing on the internet!

Freewebhosting is more used than proxys, Proxys make more money.

porn is no longer the most popular thing on the Internet, it's actually social networks and YouTube. Video hosts + Social Networks that's where the traffic is. If you can add in porn to that, then you're all the better ..so
