THEY SCAMMED ME OUT OF $250 AND STOLE MY IDENTITY

http://www.hostparlor.com/

I don't know how me can even explain all this. I use to have problems with people hacking me site and one day I asked friend of me and told me he knew guy who was a member of hacking group and said to me he ran this hosting company hostpartlor.com and he could protect me so I contacted this guy name was "Eddie Keyton".

So talked on the phone with hostparlor and I gave him my credit card information so he could bill me. He keep say to me " I need all information of credit card for security of hostparlor" keep in mind this was new credit card I got in mail on the weekend and things were ok for a while.

But this last week Eddie hostparlor he has not been responding to my emails or anything, his site hostparlor.com has been down for days, I called him on the phone and asked him if he knew about any of these strange charges on my credit card to all these 1900 numbers and someone is now billing me from SoftLayer and when I askeded him over the phone he laugh at me and say no, hostparlor know nothing. I now getting strange emails about software something about I have 3 cpanel/whm license but I not know anything about this and some helpdesk software being charged to me cc each month and I tell bank to stop this charge.

I azk if he can just provide me with data so I can go find new host and leave hostparlor.com, who help me learn and keep site online but he wont unless I drop complain with my police department and I say no and he say no data for me.

Please someone help to me. I can not give what website mine, I am afraid something bad happen from hostparlor to me. I am designer, love arts, and nothing know me about web hosting. I just want my data, and now, I get that I buy server, and somethings other too. Anyone have any infomration about theses people hostparlor.com. My friend tell me come to here this website to post about them see if people can help me. Please, I beg you, anyone help, I do free design with quality and love for you to help me. These people hostparlor very very evil, and they steal my identity :(

Hello,

Sorry - A few things do not add up. For one, his site has not been "down for a few days", searching google brings up a few uptime monitors that prove this.

Another thing - WHY, oh WHY would you give ANYONE your creditcard details over the phone without knowing who they are (I don't even give my creditcard details to my electical or provider over the phone, and they are multi-million pound companys). Online transactions are handled by 3rd party companys for security.

Have you phoned your bank to report theft? Have you contacted Softlayer to get the IP of the person who ordered? What domain do you have or did have hosted with hostparlor.com? Just so we can check it was hosted there.

PS: I am in no way condoning anything that hostparlor may or may not have done, nore am I anything to do with them or in contact personly with the owner or any of their staff.

First off, Host Parlor never has used Soft Layer Before. He used Trex Host and Galaxy Solutions. He doesn't get the license from a different company because the licenses are included with a server. I think its someone trying to sabotage Eddie's name. I know Eddie personally and he wouldn't cause this much harm to an individual. People have been trying to botnet and do harm to Eddie. Thank you for your time.

So are you saying he would cause harm to people -- but just not by this magitude?

I would contact your credit card company and softlayer.

Good luck.

I am saying that if he did....It was by accident....

You don't accidently purchase CPanel licenses and servers...

Talk to Softlayer ...First off, report the card as stolen. Softlayer should be able to login to the servers and see what hostnames/users.....There ya go.

I have no doubt that Softlayer will take action.

Regardless who did it calling 900 numbers and paying softlayer with someone elses CC I wouldn't call an accident :)

Assuming he did do what the op is saying.

Will wait for hostpalor to respond. :)

two sides to every story .

Thank you for help friends. This softlayer call me and they asked to confirm my order because it flagged or something I not understand this but I told them I do not know who they are and I ask who order and they gave me my name but I did not order so they cancel order but I still did not get money back with my bank.

I ask them for more details and they read hostparlor to me over phone so that how I know they using my credit card info.

I know it bad to give over the phone but this guy said he could help me and I needed help and I trust him but he let me down. If this accident how come hostparlor laugh at me on the phone when I tell them about this?

How can I get data back from host? I do not want to tell police to close my complaint as they might harm other people, good people like me.

If I give domain can I get data back can this help me? His site is up now and me read on forums about some attack so I understand that why it down now, but I still not have data. You say they hostparlor was not down, but, then why you here say it too that you were down 3 days http://forums.hostparlor.com/index.php?topic=36.msg109#new ""You may be asking yourselves WTF is going on with hostparlor server! We have been under a really huge network attack for the last 3 days""

Any advice?

If the order was flagged by softlayer - They do not charge your credit card until it has been verified.

We need your domain to see if you are telling the truth or not - With your domain we will be able to see if it was ever pointing to HostParlor's servers or not.

right now i am on the phone with eddie and he has no clue about what you are talking about. He seems to think this is some maleek? he said if you do a search you will find that he is a scam artist and that freewebspace needs to check the ip's of the person signed up with this name considering they have just signed up and have 3 posts. He said he does not ask for credit card info that he only uses paypal as a transaction processesor and you can see that on hostparlor.com... Hostparlor has been under a botnet attack so they have experienced downtime and that maleek would have a reason to do this because eddie made him mad by blocking him on his msn because he found out that maleek was a scam artist. Eddie told me to put on here that he cannot post himself because he is banned and is currently trying to talk with freewebspace to get unbanned. Eddie goes through R & D technologies not softlayer... do a reverse check on his server ip... http://whois.sc/hostparlor.com

Yeah...well that sounds like a bs story to blame a known scammer. Maleek didn't even stoop this low :) He was actually providing service and just screwing people out of what they paid. The fact that the guy from HostParlor even asked for his credit card information and Softlayer is saying it was ordered for HostParlor kind of tells the story.

If Eddie is banned from here....I find that somewhat questionable, why is he banned? Was it due to prior dishonest activity? Otherwise, I am guessing this will work itself out with Softlayer canceling the order and his bank should do a refund.

Can the op provide the domain name for verification? Or any correspondence between him and the host?

Joshua: Hello,
Eddie Keyton: Hello How may i assist you?
Eddie Keyton: How may i assist you Joshua?
Joshua: Hi, sorry I would like to inform you of a post regarding your company, and would highly recommend you investigate. Before we process this on Stop Fraud Now's site.
Joshua: http://freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2198742
Joshua: that is the url..
Eddie Keyton: Yes i know, i can't post they banned me.
Eddie Keyton: I have no way of defending myself.
Eddie Keyton: I am having softlayer post to prove i am not with them.
Joshua: Okay, well I would recommend emailing them to request the ability to voice your opion.
Joshua: That would be usefull :),
Joshua: Juts wanted you to be aware mostly, as it is damaging to your company.

I don't think Eddie would do something like that personally, What reason would he have to do this? He has a good company and enough money and would not wreck his companies name for a server at softlayer which is not even being used and to call a few 1900 numbers. His servers don't even point to SoftLayer!

If you don't believe me, Here is a screenshot: http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/9854/screenshot001mp1.jpg showing the datacenter as R&D Technologies. If you don't believe me further, download the netcraft toolbar at http://toolbar.netcraft.com As for hiding, he isn't hiding anything. Eddie just talked to Soft Layer. He never had an account with them in the first place. I am Eddie's representative until he speaks here.

If hostparlor didn't care about there customers why would they spend the money to buy litespeed to increase customer experience and get rid of apache. Host Parlor did spend a lot of money to satisfy its customers and to provide a better experience. He even stayed up 72 hours to help his customers and he even proved the Alpha Master Resellers was a scam. He even has his own 866 number and live support system. Why spend so much money to satisfy his customers and not provide the level of service like he does? He isn't wasting his time. He wants to become the best hosting company on the planet. Somebody is either jealous or just wants to mess Host Parlor over.

Well this wouldn't be there first time HostParlor scammed or fraud before seeing he got banned on webhostingstuff for fraud If you do not believe me feel free to check out this link. ("http://www.webhostingstuff.com/company/HostParlor.html")
He also ripped off a web design off of this guy he didn't even know from a different company acting as if they are friends. He was also submitted to rip off report. ("http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/271/RipOff0271796.htm") and also got caught frauding and scamming again on namepros ("http://www.namepros.com/warnings-and-alerts/390135-hostparlor-beware.html") and ("http://www.namepros.com/warnings-and-alerts/393804-hostparlor-scam-me-they-steal-my.html") this guy is becoming riddiculous. There slogan is re-inventing support, they need to change it to re-inventing frauding.

Every host has some bad reviews etc, But this Jerry Roberts one is just a bit ridiculous. Even I had some when I used to run TechoHost, And it was just because I denied a guy a refund on the 2nd month of service:
