Some Questions?

I have some questions, but first a little history on what I done tonight:
I bought a reseller account (with WHM and 20GB and 200GB transfer) tonight along with a .com name and a dedicated IP address, the reason for this at the time, I wanted all the space and bandwidth for myself (for my own hosting and nobody else). But now I am seriously thinking about offering free hosting accounts. My question is this, have any of you ever bought a reseller account and made any money off of it? Have you ever made back what you spent?

Now onto my questions-

* 1. How would you advise me in offering the accounts

* 2. How can I make a little cash off of these free acounts (at least between $50 - $100 for the year)?

* 3. What can I do to make it successful?

* 4. When and if should I move on to a VPS (be specific in your answer on this one)?

* 5. When and if should I move on to a Dedicated Server (be specific in your answer on this one too)?

* 6. How can I accomplish # 1 through #3 without any more money being forked out?

* 7. What other advice would you give?

Have any of you ever bought a reseller account and made any money off of it? Have you ever made back what you spent?

Only answer these if you have some REAL experience (at least 3 years) in this field and you have made back your initial investment and made a profit.

Hi, for me, the no.1 question you should think about first is abuse if you are seriously thinking about offering free hosting. My conclusion after time and time again is that you need the root end if you are the provider of free hosting. You need the root to tackle abuse. You are likely to get a bad experience if you use a reseller.
