It would be a wonderful addition, i've got a mindmap of what i'm going to be including for the next couple of versions. With my progress so far, it may be slow and steady. I've had an awful lot to cope with.

TSO January 8th, 2008, 16:16 It's just recently been my birthday and I broke my hand at the party. I never feel like doing it when on the pc :P
How'd you do that? Did it involve intoxication? :P
JonnyH January 9th, 2008, 11:24 Ermm yeah, sort of a drunken rage. So yeap 3 hours in hospital for two days.

Dynash January 21st, 2008, 17:20 Thanks alot, fast reply :beer:
TSO January 21st, 2008, 20:34 Jonny`, what is wrong with your server? If you need a sponsor to keep it open, let me know - I know some people who would probably sponsor you.
Dynash January 22nd, 2008, 05:23 I could sponser you. but on topic, about the script inside the index.php file when you view it, it has this line
//So now...lets show the page - Now it will process everything because of the <% %> Tags in the wrapper
and according to the color syntax that infears with the script. the second %> makes the text after that just normal text, not part of the script.
JonnyH January 22nd, 2008, 11:45 I've already got the space a requirements I need. The same reason I left KwiX. In the weekdays I really don't have enough time to follow this out. Like now, I don't have enough time to set all this up.
Dehisce January 22nd, 2008, 19:19 Site is offline ?
TSO January 22nd, 2008, 20:04 ^^ Dehisce, that was explained above. :)

Good going +rep
JonnyH March 2nd, 2008, 09:00 Thanks alot. I'd suggest you should wait till I release 2.2.1 It's a bit touch and go at the minute. A little bug which is there and not.

DanTheMan March 2nd, 2008, 10:53 Nice! Keep up the good work...just waiting on a billing part hehe
hamster March 3rd, 2008, 03:33 Dan;966821']Nice! Keep up the good work...just waiting on a billing part hehe
+1 to my point :P Go slow and easy Jonny. Slow and steady wins the race, not the rabbit :P better to be the tortoise eh?
JonnyH March 3rd, 2008, 11:05 Hehe, thanks for the suggestions. I've been looking at the paypal developer section but I want to do some extra things first.
krakjoe March 3rd, 2008, 14:08 You know the paypal sandbox is hell to work with, take a look at eliteweaver.co.uk IPN sandbox, much easier to use while you establish your routines, you still will need a sandbox account or two before you release the code, but eliteweaver will get you to release stage a lot quicker that the stupid sandbox ...
JonnyH March 3rd, 2008, 14:41 Thanks for the advice Joe once again.
hamster March 4th, 2008, 01:59 Maybe alertpay? Lots of people are starting to move over there from what I've observed lately...
JonnyH March 5th, 2008, 10:50 I'll take and consider any suggestions. I'll be mainly looking at paypal first.
krakjoe March 5th, 2008, 11:11 You should bear in mind johnny that people do like to use other services, some countries dont have paypal, some parents won't allow it etc ... my suggestion would be while designing the transaction table to make the column names as generic as possible and do not copy paypal definitions, this will make easy when someone wants to use a different payment processor ( most work in the same way, some sort of HTTP postback ) ... you'd do well before you start to look into the source code of an opensource application to see how they achieve using the same transaction table for multiple payment processors, let someone else do the hard work ...
JonnyH March 5th, 2008, 11:17 Thanks for the advice. Since i've never worked with payment processing before It's unknown territory. That means I don't have a clue how it works. I'll most likely be looking how they work and build a generic system which could work for whatever the system is. That may be a while yet, I'm doing a recode of the whole script.
ganesh.rao March 5th, 2008, 12:25 Joe, I suppose you had a similar script like this years ago. It could help Jonny if you share it with him.
I doubt you even have that. ;D
krakjoe March 5th, 2008, 14:30 I've written more than one, however I have lost them all ... plus I can't help johnny too much with this as a client is paying me to compete (http://freehostmanager.com), I can give him advice in general on programming but code I should keep to a minimum to satisfy my client ...
JonnyH March 5th, 2008, 15:58 That's understandable. Thanks for the help though. I really need to plan this system well.
iBrightDev March 5th, 2008, 16:17 PayPal is a good place to start, but, i would recommend getting stuff for 2checkout and other systems too.
JonnyH March 5th, 2008, 16:22 Cheers. I'll be looking at the other systems.
Is there anyway of totally globalizing a variable? So I don't have to global it inside a function?
JonnyH March 5th, 2008, 16:35 Lemme explain in more detail. I have a couple of classes
class 1
class 2
main -> class 1 = fine
main -> class 2 = fine
class 1 -> class 2 = broke
PS: Global in each function isn't suitable.
krakjoe March 6th, 2008, 04:04 This is pretty general PHP, and so I'll give you a hand ...
<?php
class Main
{
public static $myVar ;
function __construct( )
{
self::$myVar = "krakjoe" ;
printf( "%s: my name is %s\r\n", __CLASS__, self::$myVar );
}
}
class Next extends Main
{
function __construct( )
{
printf( "%s: my name is still %s\r\n", __CLASS__, parent::$myVar );
}
}
class Another extends Main
{
function __construct( )
{
printf( "%s: my name is still %s\r\n", __CLASS__, parent::$myVar );
}
}
$oMain = new Main( );
$oNext = new Next( );
$oAnother = new Another( );
printf( "Procedurally my name is still %s\r\n", Main::$myVar );
?>
XT-iZac March 6th, 2008, 08:21 Just a quickie...is there anyway to intergrate the P2H module with other billing systems...
and didn't mention...one reason why people are moving over the AlertPay is because all PTC (Pay to Click Sites) have to switch over to AlertPay as paypal no longer accepts these kind of services...
Also, if i have some spare cash i don't mind donating to help this project :)
Fantastic work!
JonnyH March 6th, 2008, 11:53 Cheers Joe. You fixed all my problems :)
krakjoe March 6th, 2008, 16:26 Just a quickie...is there anyway to intergrate the P2H module with other billing systems...
Most are not only encoded but have non documented or poorly documented API's.
I believe iPanel is the only commerical one that has a post2host system ...
JonnyH March 6th, 2008, 17:26 That's correct Joe.
I decided to ditch the re-code anyway. Not worth it.
XT-iZac March 6th, 2008, 17:51 Well, I meant more of doing something like spacesocket does for myBB just that we do it for IPB/vB
krakjoe March 6th, 2008, 19:29 I wrote spacesocket.com WHM integration too ... is possible for any forum ....
JonnyH March 7th, 2008, 10:44 Well, I meant more of doing something like spacesocket does for myBB just that we do it for IPB/vB
cP Creator does IPB/vB P2H. If that's what you're on about :P
hamster March 8th, 2008, 09:11 I wrote spacesocket.com WHM integration too ... is possible for any forum ....
Wow Joe... did you like do everything that existed on the internet?? Anyway, did you charge spacesocket a lot for the integration?
krakjoe March 8th, 2008, 10:00 lol, not quite ...
I didn't change mybb at all, hosting.php is a seperate script based on mybb's portal code, and all the settings are in the database ( entered right there in admin during development ), you can edit them right from mybb admincp, it's had some other mods on it too, like allowing moderators to login to users cPanel accounts when they post in support implemented with mybb plugins ... the beauty of mybb is never having to actually hack it, just work with the tools it provides ...

JonnyH April 5th, 2008, 06:34 I'm having a break
What does this mean? Well v2.4 will be the latest version you'll get for quite a while.
Will you return?
I honestly don't know, I've got too many commitments to carry on as fluent as I did before.
JonnyH May 16th, 2008, 04:12 Bug Reports (Hey BTW)
Long time no hear? Ey.. Well I'm back posting a message because I may be able to work on a newer version which will eliminate the current bugs. After several reports of it being quite buggy I wan't everyone reading this to flock to the forums and post any problems they may have. Unfortunately, it probably won't add any more features. I hope everyone understands that I did my best to include everything I think it needed in 2.4 to the supurb standard I try to follow. Due to it's only me developing some problems may slip through. PLEASE post any bug reports here: Forums (http://cpcreator.com/board/)
iBrightDev May 16th, 2008, 10:22 holly crap, Jonny's back :D hope to catch you on msn sometime son too.
KwiX-Andrew May 18th, 2008, 00:24 Whoa! Jonny!
Glad to see your breathing still ;) KwiX-Host wishes you well and hopes you'll be able to come back in the future.
On my own personal note: Can't wait to see what bugs you'll be fixing ;)
- Andrew
Erizo May 28th, 2008, 23:45 I'm right now using it, and i'm totally loving it! It's fairly simple, but clean as no other (Most scripts have more bugs than the dark corner of my room :P )
But what's missing from this is what everybody has been asking, the billing module, lol.
I love your script =D In fact, i'm going to try and put the link on my sig (try, because i'm confused by vB's signature system).
fnixws May 29th, 2008, 02:51 Missing:
List of added forum.
Ability to deactivate plans from being listed the order form.
Ability to create accounts not alligned to a particular plan and monitor their posts and report not enough made this month. (so you can have cpcreator monitor people you are giving p2teamspeak, p2shoutcast ect) Atm i have to use ipanel to monitor anyone whos not on a standard plan.
Broken:?
"Our main server is currently offline" on the admin main page.
Its not offline. Where do i change the settings / turn this off? It keeps checking if the servers online at every login making a simple login a pain in the --- (times out or takes a good 3 min to let you through).

Thanks Andrew for that, I was suprised at how KwiX is handling. If I was honest I thought it would of crashed by now. Good luck in the future mate.

Thanks ever so much for that comment. I knew there was a HUGE gap in the market for a free hosting script, from personal experience. Hint the birth of cP Creator and it's ambitions. Provide simplicity, power and control in a script which is perfectly free and available to anyone.
A billing system. Everyone has been asking for it. Well, my exams are over in a week or so. If i've got the time to spend on a quite large task like this I'll let it be known. I also want to include a server system.
Missing:
List of added forum.
Ability to deactivate plans from being listed the order form.
Ability to create accounts not alligned to a particular plan and monitor their posts and report not enough made this month. (so you can have cpcreator monitor people you are giving p2teamspeak, p2shoutcast ect) Atm i have to use ipanel to monitor anyone whos not on a standard plan.

1. The added forum was something I never got round to incorperating. Wouldn't take long for a list though.
2. That would be easy enough to do.
3. Nice idea, very nice. Just thinking about the system, i'm trying to think how easy that would be. Thanks for that idea.
Broken:
Thats probably because your server doesn't allow external mySQL or a firewall problem etc. I'll incorperate that what you just said IF there's another version.
Thanks for all those suggestions.
fnixws May 29th, 2008, 11:45 Nice to hear :D
ive only been using it for a week, but i must say it does the job quiet well.
I have another suggestion too, and if you want more, i can keep em coming lol.
The ability to create package groups so in i was to have say 2 forums monitored by the 1 installation of cpcreator their packages can be listed on different pages. Itd be even nice if each could have its own style sheet or simple coloring system :P
As for the "boken" thing :P possible to add the ability to turn that scan on and off? Seems to cause alot of problems and makes using cpcreator an annoying task rather than a pleasure as is otherwise would be :D
Cheers
Fee
Erizo May 29th, 2008, 14:29 I'm having the same problem, i thought it was my server's problem, lol. Everytime i log into the admin panel it takes long, and it says that the main server is down.....
JonnyH May 29th, 2008, 14:40 Obviously this is causing a large problem and will be needed seeing to. If you just want a quick fix, log into FTP/Filemanager and delete pages/home.php. That'll fix it fine. Just not show any news etc.
JonnyH May 31st, 2008, 15:51 Status Report
I'm actually working on version 2.5 as we speak. I've came across bordem and nothing to do for some hours. I've been working on a variety of bug fixes and some stuff which I thought needed doing. If you want anything added in shout now! As long as isn't a huge task and will suit cP Creator i'll most likely include it for the next version. The largest new feature in this version is multi server support. So you can have different servers for each packages. Something I wanted in from the beggining.
Erizo May 31st, 2008, 17:10 I was thinking about the ability of adding plans but not showing them as avaible on the cp index. For example, i imported users from the WHM, right? I was offering a "custom" post2host plan to one of them, so i want to designate that user to his post2host plan, but i don't want it to be avaible for registration to anyone else.
I hope i explained it well T_T

Easy to do. Thanks for the suggestion.
JonnyH May 31st, 2008, 18:15 Anyone shout any bugs at me? I need a quick response. Basically everything I wanted to get done has been. Servers, quick fixes. Anyone?
JonnyH May 31st, 2008, 18:37 I need to throw this version out soon. I've spotted a security risk.
Erizo May 31st, 2008, 19:37 I forgot, how about an option to remove an user of the system without terminating the hosting account :)
fnixws May 31st, 2008, 21:06 Ouch a security risk :O
Deleting the home.php worked fine too :) infact we added our own.
Havnt found any other things than what i mentioned above.
However heres a minor suggestion.
When you Add a package and choose post2host the next screen asks you to choose a forum.
The box is empty and the forum appears after 6 blank options.
When you first add a package you dont realise its there since its down the list.
Think youd be abel to get it to use mod_rewrite to force advertising on free accts?
Cheers
Fee
Erizo May 31st, 2008, 22:07 I forgot about that! :o Ad supported accounts feature? :P
JonnyH June 1st, 2008, 04:56 I have a script to force adverts onto a package. It's quite a large tast to intergrate that into though. Plus, I haven't got access to a root server anymore to test it. Sorry.
The POSSIBLE security hole which I found, is a possibility. I don't want to give any details a way in case it is a breach and is exploited. Looking at it now, it's most likely not a problem.
@Erizo:
Thanks, that's a nice idea. I'll intergrate that now.
@ Fee:
That sounds like there's some weird SQL entries in the modulesettings database. If you log into PHPMyAdmin and enter that table, see if there's any p2h blank forums.
JonnyH June 1st, 2008, 08:34 2.5 Status Report
I've currently completed what I want and some other people have said to include in 2.5. Due to how 2.4 went out and reports of bugs etc, I'll be launching this version into a closed public eye for testing for around a week ish. If you want a copy PM me. I'll give you untill around 10am GMT. Thats when I'll be offline for a while due to exams.

Schmarvin June 1st, 2008, 15:57 Billing system? Ticket system?
Either would greatly improve popularity as well.
Erizo June 1st, 2008, 16:27 It does have a Ticket System
-Rsmiley- June 1st, 2008, 18:35 Yes it has a ticket system, and why in the world would a billing system be added to Cp Creator - **FREE** Free Host Manager let me point out the Free host. So why would a billing system be needed
hamster June 1st, 2008, 21:16 It would be nice because most free hosts have paid upgrades ;) Maybe it could be coded as a addon module to cP Creator...
Schmarvin June 1st, 2008, 22:38 hamster gets my point I think. What if your an ad-supported host with the option to pay monthly/yearly to have the ad removed?
fnixws June 2nd, 2008, 03:49 I thinks its possibly more work than he wants to do at this stage :P
JonnyH June 2nd, 2008, 07:58 Thanks for the feedback. Like said, it does have a ticket system. It may be pretty basic in terms of other systems out there but like said, it's free and it isn't a dedicated system. It's their so hosts can use all these feature in one package. All the users are in one place and it's ease of use.
Commenting on the billing system. I've basically included now everything which I wanted to. Multi server, hidden packages. Maybe include package groups at some stage. If I have the time I will release it as a module on a new version. The current system has enough flex to run a billing system but, it would need extra work. Quite a few hours put into it. As you can imagine there can't be any room for errors in a paid system.
If you want to test the new version 2.5 send me a PM!
fnixws June 2nd, 2008, 08:42 ---- sorry man, i was gunna upload and test tonight, i didnt get time.
EDIT: Cant freaking upload it anyway... FTP connections just die out, Webdisk does the same. File manager just sux wont overwrite the files when you unzip....
Bidu June 7th, 2008, 08:55 If you want to test the new version 2.5 send me a PM!
Hello Jonny', i'ld like to test. I sent a pm for you. Thanks a lot!
JonnyH June 7th, 2008, 10:20 Replied. Thanks for the intrest.
Bidu June 7th, 2008, 11:20 I got it. Thanks. I sent a question. Regards
Jonny', would you like to create translation at this excellent script? I need for the translation, but isn't language file this will be very hard. Each update I must translate the every files. This is too much.
If you didn't create this, I do it. Will do you use it, but if I create the language file?
Regards
Erizo June 8th, 2008, 14:33 Jonny, any eta on the release of 2.5? I'm just waiting on it to open my free host :P
And would it be possible to add more client control? It only has suspend/terminate/email, would be nicer if you could like change plan, validate (if they can't validate their email), upgrade option (for them), and the likes? Ad-Supported? Paid plans? LOL :P xD

Why didn't I think of those ideas? I guess I'll put it back and include those features.
I would say roughly a week or so. I would like to test it prior, so it could be longer.
Regarding language, I should of done it at the start but it would of seriously slowed down dev time. At this development stage, there won't be language. Sorry.
hamster June 8th, 2008, 22:56 Say Jonny, have you ever considered "hiring" open source devs to help you with this?
Erizo June 9th, 2008, 01:56 Aww.... i dunno if i can wait that long >_< I guess i need to wait xD Because it does have some very needed features (the 2.5 version) that i want :P
JonnyH June 9th, 2008, 04:29 Say Jonny, have you ever considered "hiring" open source devs to help you with this?
I have, but I won't. I don't know why. One of those things. If a decent coder pops up to me and says, I'd love to help you with a project like this. Ofcourse I would.
Aww.... i dunno if i can wait that long >_< I guess i need to wait xD Because it does have some very needed features (the 2.5 version) that i want :P
Well, I can release 2.5 how it is in the next couple of days. The problem is, could you live without the features above? I could code them in but as said, I'd need to re-release it as a test version.
Your call, release 2.5 now... or wait a couple of weeks for me to code it and re test it.
If not, you'll have to wait quite a while for 2.6, no plans for that yet.
Erizo June 9th, 2008, 13:35 Uhm.... if i upgrade now to 2.5 beta, when you test it and stuff, and release the 2.5 final, could i upgrade?
Is it suitable for a live site? *-*
JonnyH June 9th, 2008, 14:14 Uhm.... if i upgrade now to 2.5 beta, when you test it and stuff, and release the 2.5 final, could i upgrade?
Is it suitable for a live site? *-*
Well if I released it, it most likely won't contain any security threats. I'm very cautious with SQL injection and the system already is pretty secure. If I sent it you, it may just have some basic bugs or such. I usually test all the features very intensly during development. There may be problems sometimes with the code for upgrades etc.
The final won't need an upgrade. Just replace the files if there was any problems.
JonnyH June 16th, 2008, 06:56 v2.5 Released!
I thought I'd skip out another testing version for a couple of extra features, It's not worth it.
@Erizo: Sorry, I didn't include those features, maybe the packages ones next version. I realised why I physically can't do admin validation. The password isn't stored anywhere so it doesn't know what to do when creating the cPanel account.

Erizo June 16th, 2008, 14:44 Oh, well... Don't worry, i'll still stick with cP Creator =) And wait for other versions xD Time to get my site a little more developed, update the cpcreator version, and open it :D
Thanks for the hard work *-* It must be a lot of it... I dunno how you can do it by yourself, it's a pretty pretty nice script ;)

Sorry, thanks for the comment though.
I'll probably do the upgrade/downgrade ACP in the next version, though you won't be able to move people across modules.
Thanks for the support on this. It's not that much work really. You'd be suprised how little work is put into it. Thanks again.
[AS]Richard June 18th, 2008, 14:00 Johnny, since I think you're the creator of this script, could you check out my thread in programming?
It's been bugging me ever since.
JonnyH June 19th, 2008, 11:08 Status Report v2.6
I think so far, I've finished the basic features which I want to put in v2.6. Stuff like package ordering and some cosmetic touches. I've started work on the Paid side of things. I've completed the order form and some ACP side of things. Here's a screenshot of the checkout:
http://cpcreator.com/cp_screens/paid.PNG
I don't want to mess this up, I'm trying really hard to get this done the best I can. As you can see the costs aren't yet shown as they're not stored in the database. I only decided to do monthly and annual payments. Didn't want to complicate my little self.
Erizo June 19th, 2008, 13:23 Wow... that's a big step for cP Creator :o Looking forward to see it! :D
JohnN June 19th, 2008, 16:44 any chance of distinguishing between invoices and subscriptions?
JonnyH June 20th, 2008, 03:39 any chance of distinguishing between invoices and subscriptions?
Subscriptions will be accepted, yes.
hamster June 20th, 2008, 03:45 Subscriptions will be accepted, yes.
Creation of invoices from ACP? :P
JonnyH June 20th, 2008, 03:48 Creation of invoices from ACP? :P
Could also be done.
hamster June 20th, 2008, 04:26 Could also be done.
Awesome... got another suggestion for you. How about a whole page in cpcreator.com for submissions of suggestions? The suggestions section in the forums aren't exactly very popular...

If someone wants to do it, I'm more focused on the script than the site itself.

I'm not exactly good at coding but I'm learning :D Maybe one day I'll be able to join you with this :P

TechDudeDan July 4th, 2008, 15:02 Just wanted to know if if I have post2host enabled and set it so you have to have 20 posts to join up on a package, when the user gets the 20 posts will they be able to upgrade their package? As, today my friend managed to upgrade his package from small to medium without having the required amount of signup posts.

There's no code in place which monitors the amount signup posts for upgrades etc. There's an option to turn this feature off.
TechDudeDan July 5th, 2008, 10:20 I have decided to turn this feature of but maybe you could add what I said in the next version and also allow us to upgrade the clients account via the admin panel.
JonnyH July 5th, 2008, 10:25 That will be included.
Dan, I've just fixed that problem which you was having. You'll have to re-download the zip and do a fresh install.
TechDudeDan July 5th, 2008, 10:28 Thanks.
JonnyH July 14th, 2008, 08:46 The Paid module has now been fully completed. I'll be finishing off some other features and releasing version 2.6.
hamster July 14th, 2008, 08:48 Woots, can't wait for it to be released :D Keep going Jonny!
NOTE: Wanted to rep you but I gotta spread some more -_-
Erizo July 14th, 2008, 11:30 Wow, waiting for 2.6 now :D The paid module shoult be a big hit :P
Will you include the manual upgrade via admin panel to users? *---*

I already put it in earlier today ;)
DanTheMan July 14th, 2008, 13:39 So it's up for download :D?
Edit: still 2.5 :( lol
Thanks for the script though :D
ChangAdam July 14th, 2008, 16:17 Can't wait till' 2.6 arrives as well :)
JonnyH July 14th, 2008, 16:49 God there's expectations.
*Hides in a corner*
Hopefully you all like this.
DanTheMan July 14th, 2008, 18:54 LOL sorry for the pressure, i have been waiting for this so long though CancerHost is extremely grateful for this!
Please let me know if you need any help with anything.
JonnyH July 14th, 2008, 18:58 Thanks. I'll try to perfect this to what I can. I want to do the best I can while doing it for free. The paid module has achieved what I wanted it to do.. When I'm on my main PC i'll cook up some previews.
DanTheMan July 14th, 2008, 20:50 ok nice! thanks!
did you change up the layout alot?
JonnyH July 15th, 2008, 06:15 I've thrown together some screens for you now:
http://cpcreator.com/cp_screens/paid/
They're all in this folder.
JonnyH July 15th, 2008, 08:10 v2.6 Released
The new version has now been released! This version features some awesome stuff which you've all been asking for since day one. One of them is:
1) Paid hosting!
2) Package Re-ordering
3) Admin upgrade/downgrade
4) Bug fixes
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 08:40 Hey jonny. Is there any way you could make it display correctly in ie? It shows like all the way done the page in every theme.
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 08:47 Another thing my theme suddenly has huge text and displays at the top:
Warning: opendir(classes) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/david432/public_html/signup/index.php on line 97
Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/david432/public_html/signup/index.php on line 109
EDIT: The order looks like the support center now.
Update 2: It does that with all themes.
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 09:01 Ok I figured out that replacing the new index.php with the old one removes the errors though I'm not sure if it has any other side effects. The order page still looks weird.

You can temporarily fix that by creating a "classes" folder in your cp creator folder while Jonny gets to fixing it.
JonnyH July 15th, 2008, 09:04 You can temporarily fix that by creating a "classes" folder in your cp creator folder while Jonny gets to fixing it.
What hamster said. Sorry about this, the folder got lost.
David, don't use the old index. Paid hosting won't work at all.
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 09:25 Ok. Thanks for the quick responses. When you click the "Click here to view the tos" button it opens two windows, one the tos the other the main page. Also is there a way to change the blue stripes that appears on the order form?

Those images are in the tpl folder. Make them green whatever. Or you could edit the style in style/wiizdom/css/main.css.
Oooh... It does open two windows =/ Errr.. Why didn't I notice that in dev.
You can replace the old 1.tpl with the new one if you like the old one better. Up to you. They'll both work.
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 09:48 Sorry for all the questions but could is it possible to go back to the old way of displaying packages on the order page?
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 09:54 One more thing the Users section in the admin panel just says: Unknown column 'dom' in 'where clause'
hamster July 15th, 2008, 09:57 One more thing the Users section in the admin panel just says: Unknown column 'dom' in 'where clause'
Can you post the full error? I upgraded just fine with no errors except for the "classes" folder.
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 09:58 That is the full error. Also there is no option to create a paid package.
JonnyH July 15th, 2008, 10:08 If the module Paid isn't on the package creation area. Go in modules and click install. It should be there.
And the SQL error. Is it when you search for a domain?
JonnyH July 15th, 2008, 10:09 I'm going out in a minute.. when I return I'll look at the upgrade code better. I did a lot of tweaks prior.
DanTheMan July 15th, 2008, 10:11 Thanks dude....gonna install it soon and take a look at it
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 10:53 If the module Paid isn't on the package creation area. Go in modules and click install. It should be there.
And the SQL error. Is it when you search for a domain?
I can't even get in, when I enter "users" it spits out that error. I don't even get to do anything before it says that.
JonnyH July 15th, 2008, 10:54 The search is remembered. Log out and log in.
david432111 July 15th, 2008, 10:57 Ok, I got the paid module installed, now there's another problem. After the first step of making a package where I selected "paid", the second step asks how many posts they should post????
UPDATE: After logging in and out the user problem is sorted.
Erizo July 15th, 2008, 12:19 Uhm.... Jonny, is the release working? :( I was so excited and going to install it, but seeing this posts .... xD
FusionHosts July 15th, 2008, 17:37 You should add a "Add banner" system where the host could add a small banner on top, or at the footer, or even both. This way the host can earn some income off his/her free users.

Sorry, but I didn't get that... It asks for forum username and password?
JonnyH July 15th, 2008, 18:52 Uhm.... Jonny, is the release working? :( I was so excited and going to install it, but seeing this posts .... xD
It should be working fine. If you're not that desperate you can wait till I can give it a run over tommorrow. Still, you can download it now, should be fine.
Erizo July 15th, 2008, 19:25 I can wait :) BTW, nice work :D
JonnyH July 16th, 2008, 05:24 I've gave the SQL code a once over. It should be fine to download now. If anyone was having problems before you should re upgrade. Prepare for duplicate nav entries though. Sorry.
david432111 July 16th, 2008, 05:25 Sorry, but I didn't get that... It asks for forum username and password?
No, when creating the package instead of asking how much the plan should cost it asks how many posts they should make.
JonnyH July 16th, 2008, 05:27 No, when creating the package instead of asking how much the plan should cost it asks how many posts they should make.
I suggest you should re-download the zip and replace the files. Sounds like you may of downloaded it while I was uploading or working on it.
david432111 July 16th, 2008, 05:41 Ok. Thanks.
david432111 July 16th, 2008, 05:43 Also, I still wonder why cpcreator isn't sending out any emails....
david432111 July 16th, 2008, 05:51 And on more thing, the wiki really needs to get cleaned up it's completely spam. Try clicking on random page tons of weird pages will just show up.
JonnyH July 16th, 2008, 06:14 Also, I still wonder why cpcreator isn't sending out any emails....
That's not the script. That's probably something server side. I test the emails throughly on my gmail account there.
And on more thing, the wiki really needs to get cleaned up it's completely spam. Try clicking on random page tons of weird pages will just show up.
I know about that but i'm a one man army here. The top priority is the script. Now i'm working on a new look and some documentation.
david432111 July 16th, 2008, 06:46 One more thing, there should should be a way to manually activate the accounts in case something happens.
JonnyH July 16th, 2008, 06:50 One more thing, there should should be a way to manually activate the accounts in case something happens.
Not possible due to me needing a fresh password.
david432111 July 16th, 2008, 06:51 Is it possible for the clients to upgrade from free to paid?
david432111 July 16th, 2008, 06:52 Not possible due to me needing a fresh password.
I usually manually go in to mysql and activate the accounts.
JonnyH July 16th, 2008, 07:21 I usually manually go in to mysql and activate the accounts.
By validating, it creates the account in cPanel. If you do that, it won't.
hamster July 16th, 2008, 07:35 I usually manually go in to mysql and activate the accounts.
Well, you can do that and then create the account with the user details present in the mysql database if you really want to, but I don't really see any point in doing that.
JonnyH July 16th, 2008, 07:49 Well, you can do that and then create the account with the user details present in the mysql database if you really want to, but I don't really see any point in doing that.
The thing is, the password is MD5'd. That's why you can't..
DanTheMan July 16th, 2008, 09:25 Is it possible for the clients to upgrade from free to paid?
dito....
JonnyH July 16th, 2008, 09:36 Dan;1008198']dito....
Actually it would be able to without alot of edited code. The problem would be, it wouldn't send the first invoice out. Actually, second thoughts. No. Maybe something we do in the future.
DanTheMan July 17th, 2008, 00:22 but can clients upgrade from different free packages to different free packages? sorry if that's a noobo question
JonnyH July 17th, 2008, 05:15 Dan;1008365']but can clients upgrade from different free packages to different free packages? sorry if that's a noobo question
If it's on the same module. So:
Email Validation -> Email Validation
Post 2 Host -> Post 2 Host
Paid -> Paid
david432111 July 17th, 2008, 10:15 Some suggestions I have are,
1. A tool to delete all suspended clients.
2. The option to see at which date a user was suspended.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 05:20 I'll be releasing an updated version which hopefully will cut all these problems out for you.
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 05:47 I tried making a new account on a fresh install, it sent the email out for validation but when you had validated the account it did not send any email with the details the same with the post2host. Also the mass email didn't work either, so only the validation email gets sent.

As said. All emails get sent, that's a problem with Junk or something. Honestly, I use the emails all the time. It uses the same email function. One can't send the other can.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 06:08 v2.6.1 Released!
Purely a big fix for v2.6.
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 06:16 There is no problem with junk, even if it did arrive in junk it would say that there are messages in there.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 06:18 There is no problem with junk, even if it did arrive in junk it would say that there are messages in there.
Well David it's server then. There are two email functions one is for custom arrays. Both of them functions have been tested and they work. I always run though the order form while developing.
NOTE: Just ran through it now and it works fine.
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 06:30 But you're on the same server as me......
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 06:32 What email are you trying to send to?
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 06:47 A cpanel email address that forwards to a hotmail address. I've tried just directly using the hotmail address but that makes no difference.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 06:50 The server has had problems with hotmail ever since spam went crazy on it making hotmail block it.
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 06:52 That's probably why, I'll try using a yahoo address. I'll post my results.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 06:53 That's probably why, I'll try using a yahoo address. I'll post my results.
You may get the same.. Gmail works fine here. Test a email on the server is your best bet to test cP Creator.
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 07:01 Amazing......... I tried it with an email account on the server and it worked. However it did not work with yahoo.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 07:02 Amazing......... I tried it with an email account on the server and it worked. However it did not work with yahoo.
Like said, yahoo is probably blocked. Gmail works fine here. Try that.
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 07:05 Over half my users use yahoo and hotmail......
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 07:10 Update: The email just arrived in my yahoo inbox.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 07:33 Well hey, I don't run the server anymore. I suppose you could ask Aaron to get in contact with Hotmail.
david432111 July 18th, 2008, 07:39 I never hinted to that you ran the server. I just said that it stinks that my clients who use hotmail never get the details.
JonnyH July 18th, 2008, 07:54 I never hinted to that you ran the server. I just said that it stinks that my clients who use hotmail never get the details.
It does. But as said above.
Dan July 22nd, 2008, 08:37 Your posts were removed because it is against MyBB's Beta agreement to offer or provide the Beta 1.4 files.
JonnyH July 22nd, 2008, 08:42 Is it? Sorry didn't know. I'll wait untill 1.4 is released until its implemented then.
Dan July 22nd, 2008, 08:51 Yes Jonny. I'm a beta tester myself so am aware of the rules involved. So should David
JonnyH July 22nd, 2008, 09:09 Yes Jonny. I'm a beta tester myself so am aware of the rules involved. So should David
I thought it was just like the phpBB 3 Beta a while back.. Sorry.
david432111 July 23rd, 2008, 06:24 If you want the beta, register at the mybb forums and do what this (http://community.mybboard.net/thread-32966.html) post tells you to do. By the way I didn't know about that, I thought I read it somewhere, then went back and tried to find it and couldn't find it.
Schmarvin July 26th, 2008, 18:17 So, even if I let you work on my server, you wouldn't work with MyBB 1.4 beta 2?
JonnyH July 26th, 2008, 18:28 If that's fine with the myBB TOS sure.
JonnyH July 27th, 2008, 05:58 If anyone is intrested developing modules or styling cP Creator, I've just finished off my basic documentation which is located here:

JonnyH July 29th, 2008, 05:41 Suggestions Needed. Please.
I'm re-coding the whole order form and most of the system for v2.7, and I need suggestions on how you want it to work and feel. View this thread for more information:
To the forum (http://cpcreator.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=160)
david432111 July 31st, 2008, 09:49 Jonny, whenever people slightly mess up on the order form and go back again to fix the errors the script says that the username is already used.
JonnyH July 31st, 2008, 10:18 Now the client account and packages are seperate. So for example one client can order more than one package.
There's ticks and crosses for all the details now on the order form, which have been better made.
david432111 August 2nd, 2008, 11:47 Submitted suggestions. (http://www.cpcreator.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=174)
david432111 August 3rd, 2008, 06:05 Just tested, cpcreator 2.6 DOES NOT work with mybb 1.4 final release.
JonnyH August 3rd, 2008, 08:07 Thanks for testing David.
Any errors? Reasons why it doesn't.
david432111 August 3rd, 2008, 13:04 Nope, I don't know why. It just doesn't recognize any users on the database.
JonnyH August 8th, 2008, 05:17 Guys... it works perfectly with myBB 1.4 out of the box.
JonnyH August 8th, 2008, 05:37 Version 2.6.2 Released
I was recieving a lot of reports of the amount being left blank on Paypal. I really don't get it sometimes, I went through that order process around 50 times. Anyway, that's fixed and is available for download off the main site.
NOTE: While upgrading all you need to replace is normpages/paypal.php. You DONT need to run the upgrade script.
I was also planning myBB 1.4 intergration but after testing it and it working fine out of the box. Nothing was changed there. Version 2.7 is also blazing in development. I'm so looking forward to getting this out into the community. It may be a while though.

Erizo August 14th, 2008, 15:13 I thought it should be weeks or even months before the release :P Downloading and upgrading now, will get back with some feedback later :D
JonnyH August 14th, 2008, 15:28 I actually finished it a lot quicker than planned. Tested it and it went without a hitch really. With all the huge changes I wern't expecting it.
Hopefully it'll be great. Thanks for downloading.
Schmarvin August 14th, 2008, 19:32 Looks better. :)
david432111 August 15th, 2008, 08:22 Yeah I upgraded last night. So far it's working great.
JonnyH August 15th, 2008, 17:33 Awesome, I'm so glad everyone has this working perfectly. If the upgrade broke with this, there would of been some very broken data and lost information.
Vincenzo August 16th, 2008, 03:37 Hi Jonny,
This looks really good.
I am wondering if I can use it to offer free hosting for a niche:
- restricted to customers with their own domain name
- and of a particular TLD (eg. only allow .info domains)
Appreciate all the effort you have put into this. Definately become very popular.
Best wishes,
- Vince
JonnyH August 16th, 2008, 06:10 Regarding those questions, you can allow it to be domain only, but you can't allow only certain domains, sorry.
Vincenzo August 16th, 2008, 11:31 I suppose we could hardcode the TLD field with the appropriate extension already filled?
- Vince
JonnyH August 17th, 2008, 12:22 If you've got some good knowledge of PHP you could edit normpages/order.php.
JonnyH August 18th, 2008, 07:05 Version 2.7.1 Released
This is a bug fix version which updates some huge and urgent bugs like, order form failure if multiple packages disabled and some more minor ones. It also updates the features which I forgot to place in the manage users area like delete account and upgrade/downgrade. Download it off the main site!
Dan August 18th, 2008, 07:27 This is a really nice job Jonny'
Excellent stuff man.
JonnyH August 18th, 2008, 10:24 Thanks Dan, means a lot.
It has come a long way since it started.

JonnyH August 30th, 2008, 08:25 cP Creator is up for sale!
What is cP Creator?
cP Creator is a totally free script which provides an all in one management system for the budgeting free, paid host. It's a totally robust script which has been developed from the ground up to provide hosts an all in one system without monthly price tag dragged along. cP Creator is an system with packs some groundbreaking features into one free box. Some of these include:
Post 2 Host signup, monthly checking. Supports all leading BB boards (phpBB, myBB, SMF, vB, IPB)
Flexible package options. Custom descriptions, multi server choice, hidden.
Monthly/Annual billing options via paypal. Invoice or subscriptions. User choice.
Fully featured client area with features like upgrade/downgrade, delete account.
Complete support system which includes tickets, knowledge base.
Fully customisable module system. Create your own custom modules, determine how cP Creator works.
Potential?
As you probably know from the description above this script is free and open source. If I had my own way, I would like that to stay that way but then business wouldn't be business and no revenue would be made. With the large userbase it has, it could have a small fee, or paid addons, maybe donations. Them in itself could provide a nice revenue for any budding webmaster.
Why Sell?
I really don't have the time to put into this and develop anymore. Shame I know.
Some Details
Created: November 2007
Is: completely free billing, client, post 2 host & support system
