Internal Server Error

Ok folks.

This always had me baffled so forgive me.

I purchased a HotScripts Clone today and installed it with ease and everything works fine. However, when I try to access the admin section, I get a 500 Internal Server Error.
Can anyone point me in the direction of what might be going wrong?

I don't want to post the site URL until I fix this issue and customize the layout etc.

Is there a .htaccess file. Sometimes incorrect info in .htaccess files such as wrong dirbase or making rewrite rules without turning modrewrite on first can cause server errors.

Thanks sep. All fixed.
I had to rename the admin directory to something else and reupload the contents to a new admin directory. It fixed it anyways.
