My name's David from HositngWOW, we've had our server from ComfyHost for 1.5 months, and the overall experience has been excellent.
The server's uptime is spectacular, with excellent support and pricing. The live help guys are incredibly friendly, and are great for immediate problems.
Our server was set-up quickly, and we're confident that we'll be with ComfyHost for a long time.

Just out of pure curiosity and nothing more, mainly due to the timing of this review. In all complete honesty, were you asked to post this review by one of the ComfyHost staff (possibly utcrazy) in order to counter the negative review that is located here? http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2200046

And yes, I do respect your opinion on ComfyHost and realize that you may be totally satisfied with their services and that you may have done this of your own free choice. Curiosity has gotten the better of me, is all.

No, I was not asked to post the review by anyone. I was aware of the negative review, but it didn't influence my decision to post a review.... I had been planning this for a while.

Yep i find this strange as well. Not that the OP would really tell you if he was asked to place this post.

Actually, I think it would be highly unethical for a host to ask for a positive review.

I got my rebate, so I'm not even touching this.

And do they help you on live support or ask you to submit a ticket

depends on the problem... I've contacted live help twice, I was asked to submit a ticket one of those times, but I don't even remember what the question was about.

I do realize though, that the live help needs some work, and I mentioned that to Mark. However, if you need immediate help, like I said in the review, they're good at providing that in my opinion. Out of all of the server providers i've been with, they're level of support isn't special, but they're there when you need them.

I realize the timing is bad though, so I can understand how you guys are feeling. The other thread highlighted issues that Mark needs to work on, and I'm sure he realizes that.

And if my review wasn't descriptive... Feel free to ask any questions you might have about my experience with their service.

OK then. What problems have you had while using their service?

For the first... 2 days of having the server, the line speeds would be slow at night. I haven't seen it happen again, and our server is moving to a new data center anyways, so I'm not concerned about it. Mark was very helpful with that.

Also, there were a couple IP addresses that came with my custom offer that weren't on the server at first, I contacted mark, and within a couple hours it was fine.

I think you guys are being a bit harsh due to your negative feelings towards Comfyhost - and I think you should take those feelings elsewhere and stick to the topic on hand.

David - could you please post a more indepth view on them, put some time into it, what your likes and dislikes are. These reviews are what lead customers to purchase from companies. If you are indeed satisfied with them, then you won't mind providing this so that it can refer customers to them and cause their business to expand.

Server aspects:

Line Speed - The line speed on the server has been very high (except for the time period I mentioned in the previous post) and I've always gotten speeds of 200 KB/s, which is my max download speed on my DSL. I've never had any complaints from customers that have downloaded test files about the speed of the downloads. Overall, the server's line speed is excellent.

Hardware Quality - Our P4 operates at great speeds, and it's everything I'd expect from a server of these specifications.

Uptime - I have 3 uptime monitors on our site from different locations around the world, using different monitoring sites. The only recorded downtime was during server restarts. Network uptime has either been 100%, or very close to it.

Setup - Server setup was completed in a very timely manner (I don't remember the exact number of hours) and was completed well. The only problem I had with the server's setup was described in the previous post.

Also, I haven't had any problems accessing any services on the server, and the only cPanel problems I've had were caused by cPanel directly, which I fixed immediately.

Support Aspects:

Support - Whenever I speak with Mark, he acts professionally, and kindly. He's a knowledgeable person, and the nicest server provider I've dealt with.

Live Help - Like most live help staff I've talked to, ComfyHost's live help staff are good for immediate problems, or general questions. In my opinion they are not suitable for complex situations that require experienced server administrators. I spoke with Mark about this, and he's working on that issue. However, I was aware of the live help problem when we signed up for the server, and it wasn't enough to discourage me from proceeding with ComfyHost.

Glad it's been good for 1 month and .5 :)

Try coming back and writing a review in 1 year.

Guys, surely its often true that people will have variable experiences with a host. Its hardly uncommon.

You all know utcrazy, and I don't know if he would ask David to post a review on his behalf. However Im inclined to think that he didnt.

And even if David had wanted to post a review in light of the negative one from Cancerhost, I don't see the problem - it simply alerts us (perhaps prospective customers) to the fact that comfyhost is not all bad.

Surely thats just helpful and we shouldnt be leveling these Kind of questions at the OP ? Just my thoughts :)

Stick with the review people. Anymore host bashing or flaming each other WILL result in Infractions being awarded.
