So I was thinking. You can set up your own poker tournaments using fulltilt poker, which is available for windows and mac. Anyone here interested in doing a holdem tourny? It wouldn't be for money, just for funsies.

Yeah. Thats not a bad idea.

Count me in.

I play for keeps.

Johnson
January 15th, 2008, 21:46
So that's five, we need either 6/9/18/27 people. Then we'll establish a time that everyone can do.

Mmmmk?

Johnson
January 15th, 2008, 21:53
Eh, nix full tilt, you can't create custom tables. I'll find another one.

I do like the idea though. Definitely in. For money even.

Johnson
January 15th, 2008, 22:28
Maybe we'll do money later, but I don't think everyone wants to do a minimum $50 deposit

sep
January 15th, 2008, 22:33
I'll join when you start doing it with real money. Legal or illegal.

Tree
January 15th, 2008, 22:41
$50 deposit sounds a bit steep. Maybe like $10 or $15.

Johnson
January 15th, 2008, 23:07
It's not my decision, poker sites have a minimum deposit of $50.

Johnson
January 15th, 2008, 23:26
Alright, it'll be at pokerroom.com, you don't even have to download anything, so it's on every computer that has java. This first tourny well do play money and go from there. Let's wait for some more people, decide a time and I'll set it up.

You guys can, my satellite internet and skype don't mix.

Anyways, we have 9, which is good enough. What does everyone say to 20:00 fws time on Friday? Everyone pm me your emails, gtalk, or msn messenger info so I can send you the table info.

Johnson
January 16th, 2008, 19:03

Tree

Yeah, I'm gone Friday.

Johnson
January 16th, 2008, 20:31
Alright, Saturday. Is FWS time the same for everyone, or does it change depending on your time zone?

Tree
January 16th, 2008, 20:32
Changes depending on time zone. Probably should set the time in UTC.

Johnson
January 16th, 2008, 20:51

Not during a football game this weekend. I mean really, this is an awesome playoff and I am not going to miss a second of it.

Friday/Saturday both bad for me.

Ben
January 17th, 2008, 10:55
The way this has played out is so cliche.

"How about friday?"
"Nahh dude, I have to walk my dog and ----."
"Saturday?"
"Nahh dude, I have to go to the grocery store."

etc

iBrightDev

Johnson

Does that detect your time zone and set time accordingly?

And does everyone agree on Sunday?

Richard
January 17th, 2008, 17:10
http://time.gov/timezone.cgi?UTC/s/0/java

Does not work.

It says: "The offical US time is:" and then lists: 22:11, which is GMT+0 (DLS) not US time ;)

That thing just pulls the time from your computer :P

Richard
January 17th, 2008, 17:12
Never mind. UTC is GMT+1, which is the same as GMT+0 in DLS.

It shows the time in UTC. It does not pull the time off your computer.

utcrazy
January 18th, 2008, 16:33

Johnson

Blank Verse
January 19th, 2008, 01:28
I will be on an airplane.

Why don't we just sort of make this a semi regular thing so if someone can't make it, they could maybe make it the next time.

Johnson
January 19th, 2008, 02:11
Yeah, I'll set up an official global timeajig for Sunday and whoever shows plays.

Johnson
January 19th, 2008, 21:07
