I sent out an email regarding this last night, but I figured I would post about it here as well.
Due to some difficulties with our current server provider, we have decided to purchase a server through another, larger well known company. We are getting the server setup now and will move all of your websites over as soon as we gain access to the server.
Sorry for any downtime and delays this may have caused you and your website, and the downtime shouldn't last more than a few days.
Questions/Comments? Please PM me here, email me, or call toll free 1(877) 677-8889
Thanks

Shouldn't have any issues moving it over, I have done backups and server switches many a time..
Just waiting on the setup of the new server, as Vagu is now saying my Harddrive is about to fail, so they are putting in a new one (Ha good luck with that Vagu)

We are going as fast as we can. As for the current server being down, Vagu claims it to be a hardware failure and are re-installing the box, They claim to have backups, but that is debatable.
We had managed to get 45 of the 60 current accounts on that specific server over to a temporary backup space, so if we are unable to retrieve everything, we do have your main site, and most of your clients.

I hope everything goes well with the server move and you lose nothing, as i know how stressful this stage can be.

I'll have to +rep that one too =)
We got our data back from our old server, and that server is currently up, however we advize you wait to do anything to your sites until after we are up on the new server, which we will send out an email.
Flavio an update on the backups, since we got the data back, all of your accounts are safe -- we are currently working on moving all of it over to a backup site as a temorary solution until we get the new server. The server should be setup and deployed to us today, and I will email everybody the new IP's once we recieve them.
Again sorry for any delays!

meh, just trying to lighten the serious mood. :D
thanks for the rep though, always appreciated.
also, it is good to see you posing things like the OP because it lets the clients you care about the service even if they didnt notice you being down. i commend you.

But is there a need when he already emailed the clients before posting?
It seems a few are on the same bandwagon. I guess it is good for google though when a host publicly posts that they are down :p

Here is a copy of the email I just sent out:
Valued Client,
Recently the server was unusable, due to hardware failure. We managed to grab backups of all of your sites, and your sites ARE in fact back online. There was a slight issue with MySQL when the new drive was finally installed, but this has now been fixed. However, this is still the old server in the old network, which we are still working on moving from. We will be using backups from Last Night, so any new data/information you do within the next few days will not be on the new server -- you can however request us to install a much more recent backup once the new server is setup.
We are still waiting on the new server to be setup, and will email clients with the new IP as soon as we get word of it ourselves. Again this does not affect VPS clients, but this does in fact affect those who purchased dedicated servers. Your servers will be setup within the next few days. Due to changes in datacenters, the timeframe for the servers being setup is not known at this time. Your due dates will however be re-adjusted to reflect the lack of a server from the time you ordered it, to the time you received it.
We are working our hardest here at Crissic Solutions to make the transition as smooth as possible, but cannot guarantee anything. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to open a support ticket, Chat with us via Live Support, or call us toll free at 1(877) 677-8889
This is the last move we will be making, and we are sincerely sorry for the downtime and delays.
Thank you for your continuing service and faith,

Usually clients will contact the host, and/or post in a forum if their host is down for any reason. And I am sure they know about http://my.crissic.com/serverstatus.php ;)

The new server is up and nameservers have changed. We pulled backups from earlier this morning, and everything should be working fine.
new IP: 66.96.222.53 , 66.96.222.54
nameservers are still the same
