Hi, I'm looking for a server for a light-weight, open-source multiplayer game called BZFlag. My budget is $25-$50 a month. Being a gaming server, my priority is optimum UDP transfer support and minimal packet loss.
I need something like this (http://www.sagonet.com/HostingServices/bargain-servers.html)1.7 Ghz Celeron, 512mb ram, 10Mbps from Sagonet. It's their $46/month with no setup fee server, and I know they have a great network. cPanel and other fancy software not needed.
If anybody can offer me a better deal, you can have my business. By better, I'll take a lower price or a better server package at the same price. These specs are very sufficient for what I'm doing, so you may offer a less powerful server so long as the price is also less. My ideal price would be something in the low-mid $30s.
Dedicated preferred, but I'll take offers on half-shares or VPS as well. For those curious, the $50 limit is in place because this is a free game and we fund public servers through donations. Thanks!
