Okay, So this is what I want to do.
I have 2 hard drives
(280gig and 160gig) IDE
I want to have 2 diffrent XP installations I can boot off.
1 XP for gaming
and another XP for doing everything else.
Is there a set by step guide on how to do this at all?
Thankyou,
Itprotj

1. install the first xp (you know how to install it, right?) install it on the first drive.
2. After done, install the second xp (via bootable cd), but this time, select the second hard drive.
3. After complete, when you turn on the computer, you will be prompted which windows you want to enter
4. If you want to change the title (on the windows selection menu) for each windows, open c:\boot.ini and change the name there. (if you don't understand, just ask me, i'll tell you how to edit the boot.ini).

First see if you can select he boot option at POST and select the appropriate HDD to boot to for the install, if not connect one at a time.
Your looking for the boot.ini on disk 1 to look something like this, modify it to suit (read through your first HDD boot.ini and it'll look similar - don't just copy the line from the second HDD);
[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="XP Apps"
multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="XP Games"
Why bother doing this if you can select it from the POST screen anyway :) ?
In case you miss it and it's booted to the startup menu you get a second chance, or hopefully you realised that if you can do it from POST problem solved :wink2:

I installed OSL2000 Boot Manager Last night.
Suprizingly it works with Hibernation, as when I was Resuming my PC from hibernation this morning it seemed to ask me what device to boot from.
My second Hard drive has A windows xp on it from my old P3 so I shall be overwriting that with a new xp.
Edit: 100posts Woot!

Isn't it just an XP with a pre-install tweaked for media?

Its apparently the same as XP but without useless stuff so just the minimum in order to higher your gaming experience lol.
