Well YET AGAIN Crissics server seems to be down.

Every time i email skyler about this, he denies that it was down or lagging and claims it was online 24/7. The only way ive ever got someone from Crissic to admit there was somthing wrong was to post here.

So, please check the following sites for me. Id like a few ppl from various countries to check.

http://www.fnix.ws/
http://my.crissic.com/

Quite frankly, im sick of this down time every second day, and im sick of Crissic trying to tell me theres nothing wrong. To me, it seems like someone know when they are sleeping and starts abusing or runing some dodgy script.

They are both down for me as we speak.

Why not just move to another provider if you keep having this problem.

I have been considering it. I wanted to give them a chance, after all, hes just a Kid learning this ----.
Unfortunatly, i think its time. Im just dreading the PAINFUL moving process to get everything up and running again.

That's another ouch there, I heard they became LLC recently too, not sure what to think of that.

I agree with Decker though, it's much easier to just move then have to stay with a host thats down alot. Not saying anything bad towards Crissic, but an honest opinion.

Surprisingly, nobody has made a WHT thread about it yet. I believe someone affected should since "skylar" does frequent it. It's been down for a while now, when he wakes up he will see the issues I assume. (What about 24X7 monitoring????)

In the future you can use http://host-tracker.com/ and just enter the hosts' site and it'll try to connect to the site for you from over 80 locations. That way it proves beyond a doubt. = ) I just check and it says out of 28 check points, 1 was okay (I think that may be a fluke or something); so its down.

Hope this works out for you.

If you are having ouitage issues with a host, just pack your bags and move on. What's the point in getting a hosting account if you just can't access it?
Plus, the painful process of moving is not a reality, if you get hosted by the right people. They should be able to guide you through the whole process. If they can't, they shouldn't be considered in my opinion.

Hello,

I wasn’t going to post here until the issue is resolved but here we go. The main server has been down since 3AM. All of our dedicated server customers are fine; they will not be affected by this issue. The company that is hosting our main server is refusing contact with us right now, we will continue to work on this issue and should be back online soon. We apologize for this issue and will upgrade everyone’s packages once everything is back online. You should also receive an E-Mail containing information of what exactly went on. Once again I apologize for this incontinence, we have known about this and have been up working on it all night and day.

I also find it extremely disrespectful how people feel that they have the right to judge things before they even know what is going on. We have been working on this issue and will return shortly, bashing us does not help us or you. All accounts will be credited for this downtime and once again we are extremely sorry.

Thanks,

No bashing here, just stated that a host is down, move on if nothing else, we have to assume the worst but seeing as how you posted, good to hear your getting things resolved.

March 6th, 2008, 12:24
Well I appreciate it, and I assure you that the issue is being worked on. Skylar is not available at the moment so I am by myself trying to figure this issue out. I apologize, but I will make it up to you all hosted with us. Geek Racks hosts our main server, I've tried to call various times but the numbers are no longer in service.

I've been sitting here waiting on live support since it came online, and no one has responded yet.I also called BurstNET and was told that we violated Geek Racks TOS, which is actually really weird because nothing on Crissic has been edited within the past 48 hours.

Decker

If the clients had been informed sooner it would have been better - even if it was "we know there is a problem and are working on it", no excuses for not saying a word.

CS-Harry
March 6th, 2008, 12:37
All services all back online and fully functional. An E-Mail with all the information about the downtime will be deployed within the next 15 minutes. If at all possible I'd like this thread closed.

Since you edited that post quite a bit from the origional I've quoted it above before it gets changed again.

And the one above this.

How can Burst tell you that you broke one of their clients TOS?

That and other leading questions! - Looks like your trying to shift blame and naming names here.

CS-Harry
March 6th, 2008, 12:47
I’ve edited the posts to add on more information; it’s really funny how you are trying to play this game. Honestly, I don’t understand why you think I would lie about something like this but alright. Here is a short low down of what happened now that Skylar has got everything fixed. Our firewall blocked our main loopback, so basically the server locked itself down.

Geek Racks would not work with us to fix the issue because we had a spammer on our server (which is against Geek Racks TOS), that we could not find a trace of. Once we replied to the E-Mail to resolve the issue with GR they failed to send the information to BurstNET to un-suspend our account so we had to contact BurstNET directly. I thank you for caring so much, so much to where you feel that I am lying to you but I assure you that it would not pleasure me in any way to lie about this kind of thing. Have a beautiful day.

JasonS
March 6th, 2008, 12:49
Hey,

BURST don't give a wooden nickle about their clients TOS', that's the clients worries. Most likely that GR abide by the BURST TOS so it's most likely that you broke the BURST TOS, so please don't go making accusations like that.

CS-Harry
March 6th, 2008, 12:52
What type of accusations have I made? None, I'm stating the actual facts of what I was told either directly from BurstNET or found out while working to fix this issue once I got in contact with Skylar. I'm not going to debate about this issue anymore. If you feel that what I am telling you is untrue feel free to do your research and talk to each company. Arguing about this will get no where and is not worth it, especially if the people I am arguing with cannot do anything to assist with getting Crissic Soltutions back to it's fully functional state.

JasonS
March 6th, 2008, 13:00
Hey Harry,

Technically you just contradicted yourself. First off you claimed that it was all Geek Racks fault, then it turns out that it wasn't. I think you owe someone an apology ;)

Decker
March 6th, 2008, 13:02
Nowhere was there any mention of lying, until you did, you started blaming GR, now you say it was all your own fault and your having a go.

What's wrong with that picture?

GeekRack
March 6th, 2008, 13:05
CS-Harry,

You have you facts totally incorrect. We did in deed send out the abuse alert which Skylar responded to via ticket. Here is a copy of the ticket that was submitted. As you can tell within this ticket I personally advised Skylar that he may want to look into the issue because Burst only allows 24 hours for research.

Additionally it is not our responsibility to assist you in finding the source of the SPAM however we simply notified you as per Burst.

Ye, looks like im going to have to, its been over 12 hours now.

Just got an email too.

I regret to inform that our main server has been offline for the last 5 hours or so. We have been under constant DDOS attacks for the past few days, which we had finally blocked out. For some reason, however, overnight the firewall decided to block out the loopback, meaning the server is un-reachable. We have contacted our Data Center and believe we will be back up shortly. After a long investigation we found the cause and had managed to reverse the error.

Whats the easiest way to migrate everything across? I actually paid for my iPanel installation, so im hoping i dont have to get it done again :S

How the hell am i going to get my data back if it doesnt come back :S

According to a post 4 hrs ago, its back up. ITS NOT.

Urgh, I left this thread because I felt I didn’t need to argue with anyone about this. We are not closing, nor will be closing anytime near soon. Services will be restored by the end of the day and we are still working on resolving all these issues. All these unnecessary comments are not needed. Unless you are hosted with Crissic you should not be worried about what is going on. As I said, we apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this issue.

It is others business as this is a webhosting discussion forum, when something happens, its fair to let others know the situation even if they are not hosted with that company.
