no, i jest.. beat theft like this is too rampant these days. there are a REAL lack of good rappers these days.

WTF, Fabulous is a douche. Kweli and Def need to rip him a new -------. Mos Def and Talib Kweli are hip hop legends and deserve mad respect. i actually like Definition more the REDefinition though.

I remember an old Onion In Brief Article:

"New Puff Daddy single samples "Thriller" in its entirety; adds nothing"

Which is awesome. Fabulous sucks anyway, but it does seem like it's become the norm to just use a pre-existing beat and morph it into your own. You could look at it in a couple of ways, one that, it just lacks any creativity and inluences the industry to lower themselves to that standard, or two, that the recycler sees a song already made, and sees where he/she can take it (usually cross sampling from other genres of music, in an effort that seems ironic, but in a good way). Which has had some AWESOME results in the past.

Fabulous is guilty of the first one in this case, he didn't add anything to it, he just blatantly ripped off two legends.
