How do you put a link in your signature on freewebspace? It says no BB or HTML in the CP? Is there a minimum number of post before you are allowed?

Thanks

Others don't seem to have a problem. Do you use the standard formatting?

I think you need to check a box that says bbcode enabled when doing it.

Is it because of his post count or join date? Mine automatically parses all the links.

[ URL =" http://www.yourdomain.com/ "]Site Name[/ URL ]

Your done, simple, just take the spaces out and amend the domain/site name ;)

It's based on permissions to do so, at the moment mine say this but it may be different for others, dunno, but it's also fine for everyone else so far :)

The list is at the bottom of the screen when you click on 'Edit Signature' under 'Settings & Options' in your User CP, I'm sure you get more as you've been around longer :wink2:

Allow Basic BBCode Yes
Allow Color BBCode Yes
Allow Size BBCode Yes
Allow Font BBCode Yes

I could not add links or formatting to my sig until I was "unrestricted"

Once I hit the 15 post count I didn't have to be manually moderated any longer and could view profiles. That is also when I was able to setup my sig.

Sure that's pretty limited though, and again maybe not in everyones permissions.

The admins are quite right to keep that stuff under their hats, helps lessen abuse.

Yep, it is because he is too new. I remember when I had all the restrictions.

That's the PHP bbcode I think that you can use to post PHP code (it makes it look nice also).

Heh, I think that we established the reason behind this being: YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH POSTS!!

Once you get around 10 posts, a lot of the restrictions will be enabled.
