I sold someone a copy of photoshop via ebay, sent it off fine. They are saying that the disc is scratched and isn't usable. I tested it before I sent it off so it must have occurred mid transit. How can I claim this on the insurance (which I bought with the postage)? thanks!

If you contact Royal Mail they'll be able to look into this and provide some more information for you.

Contact Number: 08457223344

Hope this is of some help. :)

If it was in a case (Jewel case) and not a pouch, and the Jewel case was not damaged, broken, etc. They wont touch it, as they say the damage could only have been caused by removing the CD, or that the CD was incorrectly packaged into the Jewel case or was damaged beforehand.

If you put it in a pouch.. Well.. Call them, or go down to your local post office.

But still, I have heard of Royal Mail overlooking damaged CD's with the reply that the CD was already damaged before it was sent. You should check your insurance terms of service to make sure its covered.

Technically if you bought the software you're paying for the license and not the actual program itself... so tell the guy to download the free trial and use the license key on the box.

Don't let the guy have any refund money until you get the disc back.

Don't let the guy have any refund money until you get the disc back. That's not going to help when it comes to the serial # though.

Simple Solution,

don't give money back... don't request cd back.

I'll bet the guy copied the cd and is trying to get his money back.

Simple Solution,

don't give money back... don't request cd back.I second this. Even if the CD is messed, which I doubt, chances are he's keeping the serial.

I'll bet the guy copied the cd and is trying to get his money back. That sounds slightly familiar. ;)

There is a caveat about CD/DVD media, can't remember but it basically says the buyer is screwed, they bought a package. If you didn't explicitely say the media was tested/working/guarenteed then over to them to contact Adobe for replacement media :)

Don't even pay for insurance on shipping media, jeez :wink2:

Well the insurance came with it:S

I'll phone adobe, try to get them to deactivate all the license keys in use.

thanks for your help guys:)
