PayPal is one of the most used Payment Methods worldwide. Currently I would like to start accepting PayPal as a payment method for my customers, I own a small Web Hosting company and I am not sure which type of a PayPal account would be more profitable for me. Since its a small company should I use the Personal Account? or straight away register a Business Account? Thanks for your opinions.

premier. Allows you to accept payment via credit cards and some other stuff that the personal account can not do. Also, it allows your customers to set up subscriptions. Business is overkill for a small company.

Im sure someone will explain in more detail.

Thanks. What about problem solving, such as a limited account or money charge backs by customers. How would these be solved?

I once had my account limited, it was a complete ----- to solve. I had to call them and email them about 10 times a day, still took 2 weeks for them to understand me and finally resolve it.

Never had a problem with chargebacks, so i wouldnt know.

Charge backs are pretty bad with PayPal. My advice is to keep your customers as happy as possible, and try to watch out for the people like that.

In almost a year in business, we only have gotten 1 paypal chargeback. Paypal actually disputed on our behalf however we ended up losing it. We have implemented a new fraud detection system and since, we had no problems. My advice to you is to screen each and every order ... even if it means doing a whois on their domains or even their email address if not using a public one.

What do you mean by "screen each and every order" ? Like print screen the payment? Or just checkup each customers IP, domain whois etc... to verify the customer is from the country and address he has signed up from ?
Also what type of an Anti-Fraud system would be good to use?

lol not printscreen. keep copies of all invoices though. but he means check it for fraud. make sure it isn't someone who orders your services, and makes you loose money.

i signed up for an personal account, and got verified. you can still pay through Credit Card.

Yeah, I get it, when I posted this I was still kind of sleepy :D.
Ok, so If I was going to register a new PayPal account and I was going to verify it using a PO Box address would it work? And also since it would be a company PayPal would I be able to add a bank account which has already been added on a different PayPal account?

you can't add one bank account to two PayPal accounts, i've tried.
If you want to pay through another email, you just add it to the account.

I find that quite stupid because for example, my PayPal is currently for personal use and I don't want to use it for any business matters.
So I prefer creating a new account and using it as a business account, but in order to be able to upgrade to business or premium(or w/e it is) I need to verify the account and the only way I could do this is by adding a bank account. So what am I meant to do? Create a new bank account? That's just long and it's a waste of time. Are there any other solutions to PayPal?? or ways of which I could use PayPal and not go into to much hassle?

You wouldn't want to make a new bank account. because you have to verify yourself as well, and you are only allowed 1 account per person.

I would do what I did, I just upgraded my regular paypal to a business paypal.

Well problem comes when you want to use the PayPal to buy something of eBay or anywhere else because you will be taking money from your PayPal instead of your Bank Account. Well anyway thanks for the ideas.

Not true. When you go to pay you can change payment method from Paypal funds to Bank Account/Credit Card.

When you login and go to pay for it, you have a huge list of stuff listing your shipping address, etc. In there you can "Select Payment Method" or something to that extent. Just look for "PayPal Funds" and change that to the other method you wish to pay by

Ye Skylars right.

I never used Paypal for a few years, and in the time i wasnt using it, it changed dramatically. Tho it looks pretty much the same.

Originally i had to add funds to a paypal account, wait for them to clear, then pay with the funds in that account, and wait for that to clear. Payments could take weeks depending on public holidays ect.

Now I can link it directly to my bank account, credit card, or use the old fasion money order method.

When its asking you to "pay now" in small writing below there is a link to "choose another payment method"
Selecting this will show you what options are avalible in your country.
You will probly have to Add a bank account ot add a credit card first tho.
